It’s always hard writing reviews on supplements/vitamins. It takes time to know whether such things work and certainly may work differently among different people. That being said, these pills are easy to swallow and aren’t terribly large. After swallowing Omega 3 fish pills that are giant sized, these don’t seem terribly big.
I trust this brand and take several other supplements that they make. So I don’t have any reservations about taking these. In addition, UC-II is a proprietary form of Collagen, so it should theoretically be better than just any old collagen thrown in a jar. I’m taking these because I don’t like drinking the collkegen you mix in liquids and then drink.
At any rate, I trust this brand, I think it has good ingredients, and I’m willing to give them a shot.

This is a great joint support supplement. It’s just 40mg of UC-II collagen per serving, plus 500mg boswellia extract.
The boswellia is standardized to 40% boswellic acids. This is a high potency extract, though it would be better if they used a clinically studied form.
The UC-II collagen is great. 40mg is the right dosage (same as used in research), and UC-II has a lot of research supporting its benefits for joint pain.
I find that it takes a couple weeks to start working, so be patient. The boswellia works quickly for anti-inflammation, but the UC-II definitely needs to build up over time.
Overall – great boswellia + UC-II combo, but would prefer if they used a clinically studied form of boswellia.

These pills are very easy to swallow and have no bad taste. I can tell they are making a difference. I haven’t had any noticeable side effects. I typically have a sensitive stomach, but had no problems with these. I’ll be buying these again.

I’ve been taking Curcumin supplements from this Doctor’s Best brand for years now and they’re always top quality. I’m an ultra runner (I do races longer than marathons), so I’m always looking for joint support supplements. It’s too early to tell if these will actually help, but I can say that the quality is the same as I’ve come to expect of the brand. The pills are a perfect size and go down easily.

I have only been using this product for a couple of weeks and can’t yet come to a conclusion of its effectiveness. However, I am familiar with the brand and have used some of their other products and find them to be high quality. These capsules are easy to swallow, only require 2 a day and are reasonably priced.

I am reviewing the Doctor’s Best Boswellia Extract + UC-II
When I purchase supplements, I look for several criteria before settling on a brand to purchase, having already researched the supplement itself and making the decision to try it.
Is this supplement produced in a GMP compliant facility? The label does not indicates it is.
Is this supplement certified organic or non-GMO? The label indicates it is.
Does it contain fillers? Yes.
Then, on arrival there are a few more criteria I use to decide if I am comfortable ingesting the supplement.
Are the outer neckband and inner seal intact? Yes.
Is the expiration date far enough out for me to use them before they begin to deteriorate? This bottle has an expiration date of September 2025.
Does the supplement look as expected? Yes.
Other notes:
This supplement contains just 40% boswellic acids per 500 mg dose, which is quite low on the supplement range, and the extract is not standardized. I appreciate the added collagen.

I’ve been using supplements from Doctor’s Best for a while and haven’t had any problems, so I felt pretty confident trying out their Boswellia Extract. The general guideline for Boswellia Extract is two to three times daily, with 300-500 mg each time. With two capsules per serving, this supplement aligns nicely with that recommendation. The bottle came securely sealed, and the expiration date is September 2025. Overall, everything about this purchase seems spot on.

I had high hopes for this supplement after reading the reviews, but I guess I should have researched possible side effects. On the second day of taking it, I had horrible acid reflux and almost vomited a few times. I threw it in the trash. What a waste of money.
