Was a bit smaller then I thought ( tin can fit in palm of hand) but a little goes always with Thai body butter and the smell is fantastic

As you can see on the left (which is the old product) I clearly LOVED their body butter and used every bit of it. I noticed they changed the packaging, which is fine, I actually like the new style better, it looks a lot nicer. However I immediately noticed that the smell was odd, I thought it was just because I got a different scent, but you can barely smell the strawberry, it mostly smells like unscented candle wax. I thought maybe when I put it on it would be different, but nope it’s very strong and my husband even noticed and said “What is that smell? It smells like really old, expired lotion.” Also when applying it, I had to really dig at it to even get some out and even when warming it up by rubbing my hands together, it still is very hard to apply. The consistency is literally like if you mixed lotion with wax. It even left my body really sticky, and I put it on before bed, it is still sticky to where my clothes are clinging to my skin half way through the next day, and I still smell like unscented candle wax. You can see in the second picture the comparison in the texture of the old formula on the left and the new one on the right.
I will obviously be returning this, especially because I don’t like how hard I had to rub it in and it was tugging and pulling on my skin which obviously isn’t good for preventing future wrinkles. I’m really really bummed about this, because I have never loved a body butter so much I that I actually used the ENTIRE tub, so now I have to go on the hunt to find a new unicorn.

I’ve always loved the Satsuma body butter from Body Works. So glad I got this and the value was comparable to buying it at the mall when the store was still around. Smells great and absorbs quickly. Makes my skin so moisturized and soft. Thick and buttery. I paired it with the Satsuma body spray and the scent is heavenly.

I’m feeling really disappointed that TBS is no longer available in the USA, particularly in Nebraska. I used to love being able to visit their stores, and their products are truly top-of-the-line. Unlike many other brands, TBS products work wonders for me, and the scents are absolutely wonderful without being overpowering or triggering my migraines. One of my absolute favorites is the OLIVE scent. It’s fresh, clean, and just the right amount of intensity. The body butter is incredibly moisturizing without leaving any greasy or sticky residue, and the fact that it’s vegan is just the cherry on top!

Have used this butter for years … Satsumua scent stays on the body for hours (which I like) but the other scents don’t last as long. It is a fresh-clean smell that moisturizes well. Unlike lotions, I only need a quarter-size dollop for my ankles to my thighs.

This product looks like the original Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter, and the feel is about 90% there. But the smell is definitely not Pink Grapefruit. Maybe it’s a knockoff?
