Great for what it is. A lot less gritty than a typical hemp powder. It still has the hemp flavor but you probably expect that.

Great product. If you’re looking for a clean plant based protein powder – this is it. Of course it doesn’t taste great on its own (very earthy) but is awesome if you jazz it up. I add banana, berries, almond butter, vanilla extract, stevia drops, and almond milk… blend it up… delicious!
Great snack or meal replacement. I have type 1 diabetes and my glucose was extraordinarily stable for the entire afternoon after having a shake.

Sorry to write a bad review, but I though this would taste just like the hemp hearts I have used for years. That’s not the case. I can reduce the grassy after taste by baking but as it stands I will probably just mix hemp hearts with my steel cut outs. It might be good in a very chocolaty or citrusy smoothie.

It is very green, which is also good for you. I have used it in smoothies and for baking in breads and in fruit/nut bars. It works really well. It can have a strong flavor sometimes. Not bad though. I let it sit for a couple of hours and it will thicken and taste better. I don’t quit know how to say this next tidbit of info, but, It really makes good poops. My innards are very happy if you know what I mean. And, I get a big energy boost, too.

It used to be gluten-free but it is not anymore. This is a decent-quality protein powder that is unflavored.

Yummy. It’s in my smoothie, but if it has a taste, I’m not really aware of it.
The only drawback I can think of, is that I need an entire quarter cup scoop to get my protein. So I guess I just need to order a bunch of these bags. Wish it were more protein dense for its volume, but this drawback is worthwhile considering it tastes great and is plant based. Every other plant based protein made me gag and cry.

So far, five stars, will update after I’ve been using it for awhile as to the health benefits. Right now I am just rolling my eyes over the reviewers who say they rated it low because of the taste. This is not kool-aid. It is hemp. Period. No added flavors, colors, or SWEETENERS! Hemp is a plant. What else would it taste like? It tastes like…… wait for it… HEMP! So there’s no rating it down for tasting what it is supposed to taste like. Plain and simple. I do, however, not add as much to my drinks as it says to add. Because… guess what… it takes like a plant! I add a tablespoon or two to coffee… and a couple of tablespoons to an 8 oz glass of juice and blend it up. It alters the taste a little bit… but hey… here’s a quote from Mr. Jack LaLanne himself (not exact) “If it tastes good, it isn’t good for you….” “If it tastes good, spit it out” (exact). If you want something tasty, get a milk shake from McDonalds… if you want something good for you…. well, don’t expect it to taste good… especially if it is fresh off of God’s green Earth.

This is my first time trying hemp protein powder. I was expecting a slightly ‘earthy’ taste just because it’s hemp, and it does taste like that. But I don’t hate it, my other smoothie ingredients mask it pretty well. And, I like that it doesn’t taste super sweet, because I want my smoothie to be healthy not full of sweetness. I tried it with some almond butter, almond milk, half a banana, and some cacao powder. The banana sweetens it all together just enough. So far so good!
