First time trying this protein powder – I got the original flavor without any flavor adders – and honestly I’m definitely not a fan of it. It tastes like any protein powder without flavor adders – kinda like flour in water in my opinion. The pro is that when you add the recommendation of 1 scoop (and it’s a large scoop in the bag – maybe 6 tablepoons?) it creates a nice thick milkshake consistency, so it really fills you up. If you are using this for meal replacement, it does a really good job of filling you up. Another pro is that it’s plant-based and completely vegan and non-GMO. The con is flavor – it’s not great, and probably my least favorite of any protein powder. You can mix this with peanut butter or banana to help with the taste, but that’s somewhat difficult for me with a normal wire ball blender bottle. I’d need to either mix in a blender or get a weighted blender bottle.
So overall, I’m just “meh” on this powder. It will definitely provide the protein you need for muscle building or meal replacement, but it’s quite expensive for the amount you get; and if getting “original”, it really needs A LOT of help on flavor. I don’t think I would order this one again, but would try a different flavor if discounted.

The first thing that caught my eye about this protein powder was the relatively high amount of 26 grams of protein per serving. I think that’s fantastic, because usually the supplement powders and mixes I’ve used recently only offered about 18 to 20 grams. Also, there is only one tiny gram of sugar per serving. Along with the nice protein content, this formulation also includes some potentially helpful ingredients such as grape seed extract and pomegranate juice extract which could provide some additional polyphenols to my diet.
The powder comes in a large resealable bag along with a scoop. I find the powder mixes fairly well with just a spoon or small whisk, however using a blender/shaker bottle could work easily as well. The flavor is very bland with a highly predominant chalky taste and smell. There is also a bit of a fine gritty texture. They suggest mixing this with nut milk, which adds a bit of creaminess to the texture, but it really begs for flavor, to be honest. It might work out best putting this in a smoothie or shake.
I’m planning on incorporating this into my daily routine over the next month, and if I have any further insights to share or feedback to provide after that time, I’ll be sure to update this review. For now, I can say that it’s pretty easy to use, and I appreciate the simple and understandable list of ingredients. Honestly, the only other downside for me, besides the chalky bland taste, is that this is quite an investment for a protein powder. I’ll be generous and give it four stars for now.

This is a nice mix of vegan protein, and it’s hard to find something like this if it’s what you’re looking for.
I’m disappointed to see other Vine reviews that seem to have mistaken this as a meal supplement and give this a lower ranking while fundamentally misunderstanding what this protein powder is for.
Every protein powder my son (and the rest of the family) have tried is gross on its own. The better the ingredients (and less sweeteners and flavorings added) the less palatable it is. I saw some other reviews dinging this for its aftertaste, which might be because the ingredients tell you to “Mix 1 scoop with 8 oz of (nut) milk. Customize to your preference.” It’s not going to make a cup of milk or nut milk taste better, and that’s not why you’re adding this to your diet.
For my son, who’s actively trying to increase his protein intake and overall caloric intake, this is an excellent addition to his diet.
Yes, the bag is expensive, and you’ll have to balance what you’re looking from an ingredients standpoint and what the protein powder costs per gram of protein. The bag is huge and contains a scoop and 50.2oz (1423g) of protein powder.
I’ve included a photo so that people can see all the ingredients, but there are no artificial sweeteners and minimal sugar (1g, 0g added sugars) per serving. The basic break down is 5g fat (1g saturated, 3g polyunsaturated, 1g monounsaturated), 26g protein and 10g carbs (2g fiber, and the aforementioned 1g sugar). All the ingredients and nutritional details can be seen in the image attached to my review
If you’re looking to avoid whey protein powders and you’re looking to avoid artificial sweeteners (both of which are common in the most popular protein powders), this is a great option to look at.
No, my son is not vegan, but adding 26g of plant based protein to a post workout smoothie with no artificial sweeteners or added sugars is great. This will make any smoothie feel “heavy” and you’re not adding it because it makes your drink taste better.
The bag is marked with a best by that’s 18 months out, so it should be gone well before it expires.
I give this high marks for what seems like a large quantity (30 servings) of quality plant protein powder.
