I’d never thought of a “multi” for digestive, but this fits the bill—it’s only taken once a day (most digestive enzymes are taken with each meal), and has additional probiotics and various plants that aid with digestion (including papaya, ginger, and fennel). There are only 30 capsules, so this is only a month’s supply—unless you forget, as I did, and take it with more than one meal a day, thinking it was just digestive enzymes. Now I take this with breakfast, and use different enzymes for other meals. For a one month’s supply, this seemed a little pricey, but then I went to their site, and they’re very concerned about quality, with all their supplements being manufactured in cGMP compliant and NSF certified facilities, as well as third-party lab tested (analysis, microbiologicial, heavy metals) to determine strength and efficacy, so I expect the price is warranted.

Hippo7 Bliss Digest 7-in-1 Digestive Health Supplement is convenient in as much as you are required to take a capsule once a day with a meal of your choice. Breakfast and lunch are usually hit or miss for me, so I choose to take it later in the day with my dinner. I don’t know if that decision will diminish the benefits of this supplement or not. All these special ingredients (too many for me to list in this short review) packed into one capsule are intended to aid the digestive health of my gut. So far–all systems are go–if you catch my drift. My bottle is stamped with an expiration date in 2025–but you are only given about a month’s supply of the supplement in each bottle. The company listed on the label states this product is distributed by an American-based company. However, it does not state where the capsules are actually manufactured.

I was really excited to try this supplement for my digestion because it lists a number of ingredients that are purported to be beneficial for gut health. Unfortunately, I received a bottle that expired last year, 3 months ago. That doesn’t inspire much confidence in the brand. Since it’s expired, and it shows signs of capsule degradation—the cotton put in to absorb moisture is completely discolored yellow—I don’t feel comfortable taking this product. I have major concerns about why this error wasn’t caught and who else received expired products. It’s completely useless to me.

I’ve been taking probiotics for several months, and can credit them with noticeably normalizing my digestion. Without getting into too many details, I went from having reasons to think about digestion to almost never having reasons to think about digestion. Since I rather like taking digestion for granted, I would not hesitate to call a new probiotic supplement out if it disturbed this state of peace in any way.
Luckily, I can say that this supplement has not hurt anything. Perhaps it’s “weaker” than some others I’ve taken because of its lower CFU count, but for me CFU count and effectiveness haven’t historically had much of a correlation. It’s possible that this specific product would have been less effective for me, but the addition of digestive enzymes made up the difference. They’re good to have around in any case and make sense as an addition to probiotics.
The only other sticking point I’ll mention is that pricing could be better. Otherwise, the combination of probiotics and digestive enzymes seems to be working well for me.

This supplement contains in one capsule a lot of components that I already have at hand for a new digestive issue.It is for me easy to swallow, and I do prefer having combination of ingredients in one capsule — makes taking supplements so much simpler.
Per directions, I took one capsule with food — my favorite foods that currently give me a hard time — and was less bothered. The next two days, repeated this, with less success but still much improved. Won’t know for a while whether this is a good value for me , or whether – long term – it works for me. . However so far so good. I do like the added convenience of having so many ingredients included in one capsule. I might buy it agai. As always, best check with your doc before taking this or any supplements.

So, I have a mixed opinion regarding this item. The first is that it is great that they are mixing probiotics with digestive enzymes to make a single use product (so no having to take 3 or 4 pills). The ingredients used I have tried separately on a few occasions (with some of these being more expensive than others). Unfortunately for me, the medication I take slowly eats away at my biogut making these types of supplements a necessity.
I have been taking probiotics for some 20 years now. But…keep in mind I don’t take them every single day. Most people don’t actually ever need to take a probiotic because their normal diet takes care of it for them (especially if you eat things like yogurt and drink Kombucha for example). But if you taking antibiotics or take medications that are hard on your biogut, it is a necessity.
Now here’s the problem I have with this (the negative). The probiotic I normally take is an extra strength with 10 billion CFUs per capsule. This product only has 2 billion CFUs. Not a huge problem if you are actually taking these everyday for a few weeks (in which case you probably won’t notice any difference). But where it gets me is the cost. You only get 30 capsules with this making each capsule out to be over a buck each. The other brand I was getting 60 capsules and for less than 2/3 the price. If this product came with 60 capsules for the same price or 30 capsules for close to half the price…it would be 5 stars all around. At the current price I would suggest shopping around first before making the decision. At least this way if you still choose this item…you will feel better for it knowing what else is available to you.
