This probiotic is packaged in a capsule and is not overly large so it does not get stuck in the throat. I’ve been taking probiotics for a while. I don’t really notice a difference in the types of antibiotics as much as I see a difference if I quit taking them for a while. If on any type of antibiotics, I usually try to take at least a 2 months supply a couple of weeks after I finish the last of my medication. You do notice a difference as far as the bloating and the general unease when eating certain foods. These pills have an earthy smell but are not in any way bad or offensive.

It is always hard to review supplements because not all changes are instantly appeared and everybody is different. This capsules are easy to swallow, no aftertaste. I don’t have any side effects. I didn’t notice any positive changes yet, but it may take more time. I really like that it doesn’t contain any unnecessary fillers and histamine. It is tested by a lab, but I’d like to see certificate of analysis from the 3rd party lab, so I can be confident in the quality of this supplement.

The Gut Institute doesn’t seem to have a large market presence and I didn’t see any mention of cGMP certification so I can’t speak to quality control. They do mention that the supplement is lab tested, but the claim is unverifiable. The batch I received had a manufacturer date of 11/2023 (5 months ago), but no expiration date which is strange.
As a long-time sufferer of digestion problems and daily fiber user, I’m always looking for supplements to help improve my gut health and restore my microbiome balance. I’ve been taking 1 cap/day of this supplement without issue. No stomach irritation to report.
The formulation is fairly basic – 100 B CFU of various probiotic strains. There’s no pre or post biotics included in it. The capsules they used are delayed release, which is good. The probiotics actually make it to where they need to, instead of being lost to your stomach acid.
As far as value goes, the current list price of $56.99 is just too much for a less than a 1-month supply, especially when the formula isn’t particularly robust. I think the company will need to come down to ~$30 to stay competitive. Overall I would rate the supplement 3/5.

This Bifido Maximus blend is formulated by Dr. Grace Liu (Doctor of Pharmacy) and self-proclaimed Gut Goddess. Compared to other brands, this one is backed by a real person whose reputation in on the line.
On the Gut Institute website, the Gut Goddess offers (paid) webinars to train industry professionals on evidence-based protocols and clinical programs. This brand/company is much different from the many sellers of probiotics who don’t provide any company information.
The Gut Institute’s probiotics are a bit expensive, but is backed by a rigorous clinical approach to gut health. A good value.

This is a really reputable brand of probiotic supplements, and they are very potent, and contain seven strains. I did notice a positive difference when I used these as opposed to the usual probiotics I take each day. My only issue with these supplements is the cost. They are too costly for all of 28 doses. I am not sure why they didn’t include a full 30 days’ worth, but even a full month of capsules isn’t cost-effective at the current price.
The current price is the only reason I will not be repurchasing them at this time. Besides this, these really are excellent probiotics from a reputable brand, and made in the USA.

I was hopeful about these but unfortunately they have proved to be very ineffective and, in fact, irritated my digestive system. I requested a refund after 20 days but was denied because the product was opened. The company does not stand behind their product. Very disappointing.
