I go through bottles of this! I get finger and toe ulcers. I soak my fingers in this mixed with water. I also use it as a topical to keep bacteria away. My hand surgeon recommended. She said not to use thick topicals because they attract bacteria. Forget all the sticky topicals. This works the best!

Bactine, family size! Doesn’t come with any of the weird additives, just betadine, the active ingredient in bactine.
8 fluid oz, will last awhile. Great for minor cuts and scrapes. Good stuff!

After a cat bite got infected, necessitating a trip to the ER, I decided I needed to get serious about wound care. Interestingly, this is what the ER Doc used to clean my wound. Irrigate with plenty of water and then liberally apply Betadine solution. So now I am more careful handling cats, but when the inevitable bite occurs, I’m prepared and I have not been back to the ER since.

Great product for drying out of wound and promote the healing process, but watch out for the expiration date. You don’t have to use a lot of this product on a wound, and this 8 ounce bottle will last several years, unless you hurt yourself quite frequently.
