These BESTVITE Melatonin SR 3mg (120 Vegetarian Capsules) do work but not all night long. Was able to fall asleep more quickly than not using them. Still waking up after a few hours of sleep, it wore off. These are very small capsules and easy to swallow. Bottle date of manufacture was 08/2023 with no use by date. Manufactured in Sun Valley, CA. Made with Melotime (Melotime™ is a unique melatonin with a sustained and controlled release format). Bottle was well sealed and contains 120 capsules to last a while while using only one per night.

This is my first time using an extended release and it was a good experience. I don’t use melatonin to help me sleep. I am taking it as a fertility aid because of its high antioxidant content. That being said I felt this did help me to sleep restful. Overall easy to take and positive results.

This is a great extended release melatonin supplement. It releases 50% of the dose in the first hour and then the subsequent melatonin is released evenly throughout the other 7 hours of sleep.
So you get 1.5mg as soon as you take it, and then a smaller ~200mcg dosage per hour following that.
It works great, and helps me stay asleep longer and fall asleep faster.
I’m not sure its better than non time-release melatonin, but if you have issues staying asleep I would definitely recommend it.
Overall – high quality slow release melatonin, and a good 3mg dosage which isn’t overly high.

I personally need to take two of these to feel any effect, but if you need a 3 mg melatonin these will be good for you. Love that they are extended release. Easy to swallow capsules, which I prefer over gummies so that I don’t have to brush teeth after taking them. Recommend.

I’ve been taking melatonin off and on for about five years now. Some brands have worked better for me than others, and none of the extended-release ones have worked—until now.
These capsules come in a standard plastic screw-top bottle (no childproofing, as an FYI for those who need it, but this has been the same for all my melatonin bottles), sealed with cotton filler to keep the medicine from moving around in shipping.
The capsules were surprisingly small, far smaller than I expected, even with the low dose. They’re easy to swallow, leave no aftertaste, and cause no heartburn or stomach upset. I typically take melatonin about 45 minutes before falling asleep, so I did the same with this brand and started to feel it kick in around the same time as my other brands.
I’ve been taking 10 mg of melatonin for a while now, so I didn’t expect the 3 mg to work fully, which it didn’t. Although it initially helped me fall asleep, the extended-release was ineffective, and I woke up multiple times a night. I increased my dose to 6 mg (2 pills), and it was quite effective, more so than my regular 10 mg brand. In fact, I slept so soundly that I slept through my alarm, which isn’t ideal, but I expect that grogginess to disappear once I get used to this brand and getting a decent night’s sleep.
I’m really impressed with this melatonin and will continue using it over the other brands in my cabinet.

There are many things I like about this BESTVITE sustained-release melatonin in a 3 mg per capsule dose. The capsules are flavorless, a standard size, and easy to swallow, which makes them convenient to take before bed. I appreciate the 3 mg dosage, as it allows me to adjust my intake more precisely. I previously took a 5 mg dose, but that limited me to 5 mg increments. With 3 mg capsules, I can take smaller doses or easily scale up to 6 mg or 9 mg, depending on what I need.
The bottle contains 120 capsules, which has lasted me a long time and offers good value. While melatonin is a well-known sleep aid, I can’t comment on the clinical effectiveness of this particular product as I don’t have the means to analyze its contents beyond my personal experience. However, based on how convenient it is to adjust my dosage with these capsules, I would consider getting it again.
