One person in our family regularly takes melatonin. Bestvite melatonin has been working well to help her sleep through the night. The melatonin (taken 2 hours before bedtime) helps her relax and go back to sleep after waking during the night. Otherwise she tends to lie in bed thinking about things after waking. Considering how important sleep is, we’re very thankful that she can take melatonin to help her sleep.
It’s rather hard to give much of a review for a product like this beyond “it works” or “it doesn’t work.” For us, this works, but it would be nice if I could give more information than that. There are so many supplements out there and not all of them are trustworthy. How do I know that these are good?
The first thing I did to research these supplements was to look to see if they have a website. Yes. And it’s in English. And it’s a legitimate website that’s actually set up to sell their products. I have often looked up a manufacturer’s website after wanting more information than they show on Amazon. So many sites are a couple of photos, text in another language, no contact info, or, my favorite, the “lorem ipsum” websites where they use blocks of what amounts to nonsense text as a placeholder for eventual information. Bestvite is an honest-to-goodness legitimate company. They sell their products on their website. They take credit cards. You can login to a secure site. They even let you chat with them. It’s a nice change of pace from so many internet sellers to know that there’s a proper company behind this product.
Next, where are they made? As the product page says, USA. Their own website further says that they have their own facility in Sun Valley, CA to manufacture supplements like these. While I buy many things that are made in China, when it comes to foods or supplements I don’t really trust Chinese quality standards. I just don’t have faith that supplements from China aren’t contaminated and don’t contain other, unlisted ingredients. Buying from the USA gives me a whole lot more confidence in health products.
The company’s been around since 2006. That’s pretty respectable nowadays. They’re also certified by NSF which means that they are periodically inspected and meet the health and safety standards of the NSF. Sounds good to me.
Overall, I’m very happy with these capsules. They work well. They’re made in California by a company that I would trust. I’m not sure what more I can ask of supplements. Definitely a 5-star product.

I bought this product because it has a high melatonin content. I was sadly mistaken upon taking it when I realized that it did absolutely nothing for me. I even took four and it did absolutely nothing. It does not make me sleepy. I get better results from a Dollar general brand. This product is ripping people off. I’m quite positive it is just a placebo.
