Diabetes runs in my family; both my Dad and sister had it. Although I’m slender and watch what I eat, I’m also getting up there in years so time, stress, poor diet, lack of exercise and genetics all gang up on me and take their toll. I’ve noticed numbness in the toes of my right foot for several months now. Today my Benfotiamine arrived in the mail and after eating, I took 1 capsule.

I have hashimotos disease and have been taking benfotiamine daily for the last 6 months. I don’t know what I would do without it. There were days where I just couldn’t get out of bed because my body just hurt so bad. My skin even hurt. Since i have been taking this product, my symptoms have eased up tremendously.I usually take two a day but on bad days or even that time of month I will take 2 caps twice a day.

My mom has proximal neuropathic pain due to diabetes. For the last three months, she has been suffering from severe, debilitating, pain that would not let her sleep for two straight days sometimes. At most she would sleep for less than an hour in a day. The prescriptions are not working. If they do, the relief lasts for a very short time and then she’d be crying because of pain again. We decided to try Benfotiamine and after two weeks, she feels that the pain isn’t as intense anymore. Oftentimes, the pain is bearable. She takes three capsules twice a day. I will give an update in the future regarding her condition.
Update (July 8, 2015): After a year of continued use of this product, my mom’s condition has improved a lot. Last year, we really thought she will not make it through the year. She doesn’t have pain in the shoulder, chest, abdomen, arms, thigh and back since October 2014. She is off her stronger pain meds except for Lyrica (down to 75 mg, 3x a day) because she still have pain on her feet. She says the pain is bearable though and it doesn’t last a long time before it gone after taking the meds. She is still taking the Benfotiamine together with the R-ALA. We really think that Benfotiamine with R-ALA helped a lot to make the recoveery because prior to using these the pain meds where not giving her much relief from the pain.

This product is a complete scam. Did absolutely nothing for my neuropathy—no relief, no improvement, nothing. Capsules smell awful, caused stomach pain, and made my symptoms worse. Total waste of money and an absolute disappointment. Avoid at all costs!

Excellent product. For a long time my toes as well as my back were numb and my heart doctor said that because I was a smoker for so many years my veins were too thin and nothing else could be done to improve the way I felt. However, I did not give up and started looking for natural remedies to try to fix and improve the way I was feeling. I included the symptoms I was having and it showed this product. Great supplement for leg pain caused by neuropathy and fibromyalgia however cost and necessity for high dosages makes it expensive. Worth the cost for the relief but I am getting nearly the same results from a similar B-Complex formula that needs a lower daily dosage and costs less. Still a great product that works, though.

As a gift from my 49 years of insulin dependent diabetes, I developed neuropathy. The prescribed drugs made me groggy and dysfunctional. I found reviews on this product that others recommended. For the past 4 years i have had very limited problems and suffer no side effects from this Vitamin K composition. I highly recommend to anyone to give this a trial period for yourselves~~~

Worked to a degree perhaps need to take more as I am taking the minimum dosage. My neuropathy is very noticeable so it makes sense that I would have to take the higher dosage. Still going to give it a try.
