I’ve bought Benicin a few times now and it’s very helpful when I start feeling a cold coming up. After I take them for a few days I feel completely back to normal after a 2 days. I also take it with me when I travel (I travel a lot) and take them consistently throughout to make sure I don’t catch anything while I’m out of town. So far so good!

Most everyone knows that white garlic makes for a healthy supplement, as it’s great for lowering blood pressure, improving cholesterol levels and bone health, along with assisting with dementia, but what about black garlic? I had never had a supplement that contained both types prior, so I had opted to do some research and learned that black garlic contains a higher amino acid content, which offers double the amount of antioxidants than white garlic and is considered to be more nutritious, due to its fermentation process; this in its own right, makes it sweeter and without an odor. With this in mind, this dynamic duo appears to have all bases covered, in regards to optimal health benefits and greatly complement each other.
Side note: I had noticed a garlic fragrance that was evident once the bottle was opened and I was able to taste it as well once having ingested the very small yet potent capsule, but I didn’t find it at all objectionable…no more so than eating a slice of pizza that was sprinkled with garlic to enhance its taste.

Allicin is one of the main active compounds extracted from garlic. In some studies, it was shown to help lower blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol, and help boost the immune system. This supplement has both white and black garlic, which are supposed to work together to increase the absorption of allicin to maximize the health benefits.
This recommend serving size for this garlic supplement is 1 capsule, making a bottle of 60 capsules a 2 month supply. The capsules are small and easy to swallow. There is a very slight garlic odor, but has no discernable taste when taking it. Benecin’s website states that their supplements are manufactured in certified GMP facilities, along with a few other certifications, but does not state any independent lab testing to ensure content and purity. I have taken this supplement for over a month now with no undesirable side effects, but I have not noticed any positive effects either.
Overall, this is an interesting supplement that may be worth trying if you are trying to achieve a certain health benefit, such as lowering blood sugar or cholesterol. Because it is so expensive, you should get a blood test before and after to see if it is working for you.
