Unlike alkaline, zinc-carbon or most rechargeable batteries, these litiums primary batteries will not leak, eve if they are fully exhausted and left inside devices. They operate well in temperature extremes, especially in very cold weather and applications. They will last longer than any other type of primary cell in just about every application. If there’s one caveat, it’s that these cells hold a very consistent voltage throught their useable life. Once exhausted the power levels fall dramatically in a very short time. Unlike other chemistries that have the voltage dropping consistently as they batteries are used up, these can die rather suddenly. You can often get little or no warning before lithium batteries conk out. Many devices that have battery level meters or warnings that alert you to low batteries and allow you to replace them with some time to spare, there’s a good chance that you will encounter something that is just suddenly dead. Shelf life is extraordinary though, making lithium batteries the optimum choice for devices and products that sit for long periods before being needed, often in emergencies. Things like flashlights, radios, test equipment and tools, and similar. They are also excellent choices for items that draw little power but get used occasionally or continuously, like remote controls, clocks, alarm components, back up batteries and the like.
Prices for these batteries are finally beginning to drop a bit, likely because the Energizer patent exclusivity is going to end soon, and soon other brands will fill the space and likely at much lower prices. Shop for deals, usually large quantities like these get you the best price per cell.

I purchased these because I was told they would not leak; I have had problems with alkaline batteries leaking and ruining things. However, I am finding that many of the products I use, such as my smoke detectors, instruct me NOT to use lithium batteries. Most items, such as my fairy lights, specify alkaline batteries. However, I have used them in the fairy lights and they seem not to last as long. They are more expensive, but in the proper products, it would be worth the extra cost. And I have yet to find one leaking, so that aspect seems to be correct.

These last long, work with every AA using item I have. Easy to install so easy to use. I no longer buy any other battery unless it is rechargeable. They work great in smoke detectors, emergency radios…

I used these in my Yale door locks. The locks eat batteries like crazy. I was buying the basics AA batteries and the would last maybe a month. These have lasted 3 times that so far. Hopefully the cost will offset.

These batteries may be a bit expensive, but they last a long time and never leak.
I’ve completely switched from alkaline batteries to these in all my tools, meters, clocks, and everything that needs AA or AAA batteries. My DVOM has had these batteries in it for 5 years and they’re still strong and not leaking acid. Worth every penny since a set of alkaline batteries destroyed a very expensive DVOM before I got this one.
My motorcycle Spot Tracker lasts a whole year, of almost daily use. (I use this SOS tracker whenever I’m riding.)

I use these batteries that have a high draw, such as a water pump in my daughter’s baby bath. They have an added benefit of not leaking if stored for a long time (like regular alkaline batteries). These are not lithium-ion, which means they aren’t rechargeable, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. But what is surprising is how long they last, and how light they are compared to regular alkaline batteries.
If you need lithium for high draw, long lasting devices – these are your winners!

Great batteries, long lasting, when they die they don’t get weak they just die but function great through entire life. No chance of leaking even if stored long durations. Nicely packaged in groups of 4 in manufacturers packaging!
