My wife got me one of these bars (cedar and bourbon) for Christmas one year… and when I didn’t receive anther bar the following Christmas, I took matters into my own hands and ordered my own. Does it work? It’s soap. It cleanses the body. Does it smell like cedar? Absolutely.

I’ve ordered other soaps but this one I can still smell the scent it leaves behind on myself long after my shower when others I can’t cleans pretty good also

This stuff is the bomb. It smelly manly without smelling like a pine tree. It is not cheap, but the bars are large. Buy them in multiples when the price drops and it works out okay, but it’s never going to be like buying that 15 pack of Irish Spring (barf, barf) at targe7 for $8.99. If you use it right it can last a long time. I rub on a bit and then use a scrunchy, so lots of lather and cleaning, and you don’t have to melt it a under the water. For the record, most people use way way more soap than they need because they don’t know how to use it.
Anyway, I dread the day they stop making this as the world will be a sadder place.

I love the smell of this bar. for sure. but the residue leaves brown spots all over my shower walls. it’s actually kind of gross.

I tried this brand vs. the Baxter exfoliating bar. Nearly the same oversize bar, but you can get 3 of these for just over the price of one of the Baxter bars. They last just about as long as the Baxter bar, but slightly less. The exfoliating grit in these bars is far superior to the Baxter. Scent is fine, not feminine, not masculine – not a major draw or fault either way to me, but is pleasant and clean. Compared to the Baxter this is the superior choice, especially for the price.
