The bars taste ok but I find I must keep them refrigerated. The chocolate exterior melts, even at room temperature. Not going to be useful for day or overnight backpacking trips.

The bar is a perfect combination of crunchy, light, nutritious. However, the exterior chocolate coating melted in shipment and never re-adhered to the bar-it mostly remained on the wrapping. That said, the bar was great without the chocolate covering. After the package arrived, we kept in the refrigerator as the directions suggested, but the chocolate still remained on the wrapping.

I heard about PEAK PROTEIN Bars from a guy at the gym. THIS is the best bar I’ve ever had, especially if you are a peanut butter and chocolate lover like me. Tastes so good and natural. I’m going to try their other flavors too!

Taste was great but we could not live with the melted mess they arrived in and they were delivered when it was 82 degrees out—we checked as soon as we opened and realized how squishy the product was in the wrapper. Did open one and taste and it was really great but we tossed the rest.

Let me start by saying I’m really not a protein bar person. I’ve tasted quite a few and they are all dense, chewy taffy like bars that leave terrible aftertastes in my mouth. Not to mention they all wind up upsetting my stomach, it’s probably all the sugar alcohols and low grade protein and fillers in all the bars I’ve tried.
I was really excited to try these new peak protein bars because when I read the ingredients I was able to easily identify and understand each and every ingredient. I figured even if they don’t taste great, at least I’ll know what I’m putting into my body. And being that they’re all natural I knew I didn’t have too much to worry about.
When I got these and tried them I was blown away. I’m a type II diabetic so candy of all types is kind of a forbidden fruit. One bite into these bars and my face lit up. It was JUST like eating a candy bar, and with only 7 grams of sugar, lots of fiber and protein I didn’t have any issues with my blood sugar, in fact I felt great the rest of the day! These are so light and fluffy and decadent and delicious. I eat one every single day. It definitely helps me meet my protein goals and I especially like that I’m getting high quality grass fed whey from Ireland.
I guess I can’t say I’m not a protein bar person anymore because I definitely LOVE these bars.

I wrote a previous review that stated the negative issues regarding these bars. The bars arrived with the chocolate melted. I think if they find a way to correct this issue, this company has a true winner. I have G6PD, so I was not suppose to eat these, peanuts cause red blood sells to break down. With that being said, my husband forgot and offered me a bite. OMG, I ended up eating one whole bar. These are the best protein bar I have ever tasted. I did pay the price for almost 3 days. Give these bars a try, as they are so wonderful. They remind me of ChickOStick candy. I’m dating myself, as this is a very old candy. P.S customer service is the best. I hope they can find a way to resolve the melting chocolate issue. And I hope that my G6PD will go away, so I can have these fabulous bars. For now I will have to place the out of site. Protein bars have been in my life for 35 years. These are by far the best tasting with the best ingredients. Like many others, the issue is they arrive with the coating melted to the wrapper.
UPDATE: I contacted PEAK and their customer service immediately shipped me a replacement box – when they ship from company, they pack theirs on ice to avoid this issue. Great customer service, company takes pride!!

These bars are fantastic! Made with clean ingredients and grass-fed whey, they taste amazing. I’ve seen some reviews complain about the chocolate melting—well, of course it does! That’s what real chocolate does. If you’re looking for something artificial that won’t melt, you might want to go with something like Hershey’s, but if you prefer quality ingredients, this is the real deal. Melted or not, they taste great and keep you full!
