I was trying to figure out how to describe this bar and though the nutrition is top-notch with collagen and protein and vitamins and natural ingredients, when I bit into the bar I was surprised at the bad taste. It does not taste good. There is a hint of like raw peanut flavor but no chocolate I can taste and the sweet is almost a kind of too sweet that doesn’t mix with the peanut flour taste. It tastes uncooked somehow and has a mineral or strange metallic aftertaste. I guess it’s odd like from the vitamins or something but I had to use other protein drinks and flavors in between the bar bites and water to get it down. I will eat them with like flavored yogurt or something and can manage it, but I have to be kind of hungry to want to eat it. I just don’t like the flavor at all. Maybe It’s just me though? The nutrition is good for a quick grab if you can handle the taste on it’s own.

Great nutrient values for the amount of protein it packs I love protein bars but these taste god awful achieves making me not feel hungry afterwards idk if that’s the protein tho or the aftermath of eating something that taste entirely like chalk

I liked the taste, but by the end of the bar, I was tired ,of the taste (which in some cases is great).

So when I first tried these I did not love the taste…I still don’t. (It’s fine; just definitely tastes like a protein bar). But I kept re-ordering them. At this point I’ve re-ordered them so many times that I figured it was time to write a review.
This is the only protein bar I’ve ever tried that actually squashes my hunger for a long time. You will NOT be hungry after downing one of these. And as many other reviewers have commented, sometimes it’s hard to even finish a bar in one sitting. You can’t beat 45g of protein and 310 calories per bar (milk chocolate brownie flavor) – I’ve never seen stats like this. I think these stats justify the price as well – you are getting at least twice the protein of almost any other bar on the market. (Side note, do NOT get those new David protein bars….they are disgusting!!!). I’m on the go a lot and would rather take in my protein from solid food than a shake, so these things are a perfect option.
I’m giving these five stars because they are exactly what I want in a protein bar – they have a lot of protein, and they are great for killing my hunger in between meals (or even replacing a meal).

I struggle getting in enough protein throughout the day. Having one of these makes it so much easier to meet my goals! I often have one for breakfast and I don’t even think about lunch until I look at the time.

We’ve bought MANY protein bars over the years and these MUSASHI High Protein Bars are delicious and BIG.
My number ONE issue with protein bars is dryness. Don’t know why but every protein bar I’ve had previous to these MUSASHI bars has been dry as a bone. So dry you need a gulp of liquid with every bite. These bars are SOFT, chewy and ZERO dryness.
Flavor is amazing. I taste caramel, coconut and of course chocolate. 😋
They are filling too, which is the main point of eating a protein bar. I can’t eat an entire bar at one sitting.
Though these are the best we’ve ever had, they are costly. Twelve bars for $30+ dollars isn’t cheap, but definitely worth getting.
I didn’t look at the nutritional value overall because I’m mostly interested in protein. Plus, added vitamins and minerals always add a chemical taste.
Calories for one whole bar is 370. Not bad at all. One Marketside muffin has the equivalent calorie count and no where near the protein so decent calories in each bar.
Holding the bar on my hand it seemed to hold up well w/o completely melting. Though I’m sure it’s different for each person. I kept the bar in its wrapper while savoring each and every bite.
A+++ protein bars.

Imagine if Barebells protein bars sucked, that’s these. Honestly there’s just no place for products like this anymore, while 310 calories and 45g protein and low sugar is appealing the tradeoff in taste just isn’t worth it.
I bought the brownie ones and just dull taste with bad after taste that matches the boring chocolate flavoring of cheap protein powder, dense and chewy to its detriment because it’s a bad flavor but it’s good if you’re practicing your zen focus to endure the harsh cruelty of the world or pretending to be a cow in a field where chewing cud is all you’d get anyway.
They’d be great in a fallout level apocalypse for the macros but for regular life you may as well eat 2 bars from any of the actually good tasting ones so you can enjoy your life.

Got this protein bar because it seemed like a good value for how much protein it was packing. It tastes similar to how Pure Protein bars taste, but more bland. If you find Pure protein too sweet, give these a try, but for me it just tastes medicinal. It’s hard to choke it down quickly for me which is what I was hoping for when I bought them. But I almost have to work up the courage to take each bite and it takes me like 2 minutes to swallow because my stomach is just not ready yet for the next bite. I have to chew with my mouth open to get by the taste. It might help ferment a drink enough that you get drunk while drinking it and then you won’t care what you’re eating. I don’t know how else to describe it. Just not for me.
