These Atlas Protein Bars have great ingredients, but unfortunately, they taste like standard protein bars, which means they are dry with minimal flavor and are hard to chew like pretty much every other protein bar out there. I would say these are very similar to eating Quest bars, so if you like those, you’ll probably like these. However, I don’t know anyone who eats protein bars for the taste, so if you want to reap the benefits then these bars are good ones to get.

PROS- this product does not have a lot of added sugar or ingredients you have no idea what they are.
Not too sweet, not like a candy bar as some protein bars are. Filling the punch of protein to keep you going. Good taste.

I really love having a solid protein bar on hand for when I don’t have time for a meal and I was especially excited about the cleaning ingredients and 20 g of protein per bar that Atlas offered. I bought these bars in the dark chocolate flavor because I knew that would appeal to my teenage son who is constantly starving and frequently eats bars on the go. I thought this would be a no-brainer for both of us. The taste and consistency of these bars are definitely not for me. I actually said yuck out loud the first time I started chewing one. I would say the texture is very comparable to the protein bars that are Costco brand or possibly a denser and dryer version of an RX bar.
With the ingredients being so good and the protein content being so high, I really tried to get this bar down. I did, and I found myself being full for a reasonable amount of time however, I could not bring myself to ever want to reach for one again. They have been sitting in my cupboard for quite a while, and my son won’t touch them As he thinks they are disgusting as well.
My husband eats more protein bars of this caliber I would say, and he said while these bars are definitely not good, he doesn’t mind the taste too much because likes how he feels As far as Satisfaction This is the reason I decided to give three stars rather than less.
I won’t buy these bars again because they are not something I would ever reach for and even for my husband there are many others I would choose over this one because of the poor taste.

These ” new and improved” bars are horrible. The old formula was awesome. I was eating 3-4 a day of the old formula bars. Will never buy the new formula bars again…ughh, yuchh! Stop calling cost cutting, ” improving! “

I get two boxes of the mint ones delivered every month and have one everyday. I tried these, and love these just as much as the mint ones. The ingredients are quality. I’m adding these to my regular ship and save subscription. Creamy, moist deliciousness!

All Atlas bars (except for Space flavor) are very dry at first.As you chew them, tho, they moisten up, and I find them very tasty. This is tied with Space as my favorite flavor. Only ones I avoid are the peanut flavors.

To me, the Dark Chocolate Almond bar tastes like a dark chocolate brownie. I’ve tried a lot of protein bars and this is the most delicious tasting one— excellent texture, no weird aftertaste and no chalkboard taste. The protein content is good, so tied in with the deliciousness, it is an excellent bar.
