I really wanted to love this product, but the fact that hardly anything comes out when I squeeze the tube hard makes me so annoyed that it’s hard to appreciate its good qualities! Yes, it feels thick and moisturizing without being sticky, and seems to last awhile. I’m so disappointed, though, that it feels like I’ll only be able to use it a short period of time before I can’t get any more out. I was hoping to use it for travel due to its versatility, but will nix that idea. I might try heating it to see if that helps, but feel I shouldn’t have to do that, as it’s not like it’s freezing cold in my house!

I am a return customer for this lip mask! I live in the dry, desert-y Southwest, so a good lip moisturizer is a MUST. I found that using this at night before I go to bed, and then after the shower in the mornings, works best for me. Then I use my normal chapstick (Aquaphor) throughout the day.
A little goes a long way, so I find a tube of this lasts me a long time. So not only does it actually work, but you get more bang for your buck.
If you’re on the fence about trying – this is your sign to do it!!

2.5 stars and not worth rounding up to the third star in the official review. Overall, not great, but not terrible, just annoying. Definitely only worth $7. The only reason I’m not returning it is because it’s just good enough not to make the trip to Staples to return it.
Good:
The color/pigment is as expected/pictured. It moisturizes marginally better than other tinted balms.
Bad:
The tube is massive. Why is it so big?! Who has that much room in their purse?! It’s the size of a hand creme! Why?!?
The pigment separates from the balm, so you really have to rub in the color, which makes the balm bleed around the lips.

I was pleasantly surprised that this much-cheaper alternative to other squeeze-tube balms is as moisturizing as it is. Not great but very nice and seems to last an okay amount of time on the lips. The best surprise: the very pretty but subtle sheen, even applied under or over other lip colors. I don’t notice any smell or flavor and am happy this doesn’t have that (to me) disgusting fake citrus or berry flavoring/scent. The bad surprise: the squeeze tube is a two-handed operation — it’s very difficult to express product from this tube and you (or at least I) must use both hands to coax a tiny bit out. And the applicator end of this tube isn’t a lip-friendly or slanted. But again, it’s less than half the price of the Dr. Lipp, so that’s a positive. .
