My daughter can only use this lotion on her eczema prone skin. It is fragrance free, gentle, and so moisturizing! Love everything about it.

This lotion. Comes in a short fat bottle with a pump on top. The lotion itself is white and spreads nicely on the skin leaving it smooth and soft.
The skin on the top of my hands gets red and chapped during the winter with multiple hand washings, especially when not at home and I’m using soap that my skin doesn’t agree with. Most lotions will irritate the chapped areas. This lotion did not irritate my chapped skin and helped it heal, but it didn’t stay on for 48 hours as advertised, it washes off and I have to reapply after each hand washing.
The scent reminds me of diaper rash cream with zinc oxide in it, but the scent doesn’t linger long after applying.

しっかり潤います。少々癖のある匂いがするので、小学生の子どもは顔に塗るのを嫌がっていましたが、伸びがよく塗りやすいので結局全身に塗っているようです。匂いに慣れたんでしょうね。塗布後はベタベタした感じもなく、しっとりしています。肌が荒れるようなこともないので、乾燥する時期になったらまた買うつもりです。ただ、割とクリームが緩めなので、思わくドバッと出てきます。お気をつけて。

I believe this particular lotion was used in a study that evaluated whether or not inflammation markers in the blood could be reduced by soothing skin irritation. As I understand it, the researchers had elderly people apply the lotion twice a day to their arms and lower legs. The hypothesis was that reducing minor skin irritation and maintaining the skin barrier could be beneficial in reducing inflammation and this would improve overall health.
Does it work? Maybe. I know that when I reminded my mom to use it every morning and evening for a couple of weeks her skin condition appeared significantly improved. But she felt it was too much trouble to use so I gave up. I am using the lotion now and I think it is very emollient. Pleasant light scent. Non greasy. I can’t imagine why she felt it was too much trouble to apply, especially in light of how much better her ankles looked when she was regularly using it.

My doctor says I have dry skin and should use lotion but I hate them because they never absorb well enough. I bought Atopalm because there was a research article published in 2019 by UCSF researchers (= legitimate) showing that this brand of lotion, when used on elderly people, improved their skin barrier function and reduced their proinflammatory cytokines in blood, which is expected to reduce the rate of aging (doi:10.1111/jdv.15540). Good enough for me! It is a little expensive, but this lotion absorbs very quickly, leaving no sticky residue, and has a pleasant citrusy scent which is not overwhelming.

Winter weather is hard on hands. I have had trouble with cracking and drying but not this year. I would recommend you try this product no matter how dry your skin may be. I am pretty sure it would solve most dryness on your skin. Try it out!
