First to explain, I can’t give complete information about the effectiveness right away. Supplements and vitamins take a while to take effect. If I notice a difference right away, I’ll mention it. I also take supplements so these might work WITH what I’m taking.
Never heard of this before, seems like good stuff. I like the size and that it’s vegan, a different way to get pain relief. It seemed work so I would recommend.

I take astaxanthin as it’s literally the most powerful antioxidant. I like this brands clean ingredients and small pill size. The pills are super easy to swallow. Great product.

I suffer from occasional joint pain, mostly in my knees. I have had injuries to both knees. This supplement was something I had not seen before and touts joint and tendon health support. It also claims to aid in immune support. It is advertised as hailing from New Zealand.
The recommended dose of astaxanthin per day varies depending on the health goal and the source of the supplement. Some sources suggest taking at least 6 mg to 12 mg daily for general health and antioxidant benefits, while others suggest 2 mg to 4 mg daily. Higher doses of 40 mg to 100 mg daily have been used in some studies to treat specific conditions, such as gastric reflux, but may cause skin pigmentation. Astaxanthin has been shown to be safe in doses of 4 mg to 40 mg daily for up to 12 weeks. Each one of these soft gels has 6mg, so it’s at the minimum dosage recommendation.

Since I am a bigger guy (both height and weight), it is likely that I will have to take at least 2 of these per day, which will negatively affect the dosage/cost ratio.

It is recommended to take these with food. I prefer to take my medication and supplements all at the same time, and this often does not coincide with my mealtime(s). So far, taking this about 30 minutes before I ate something did not cause an upset stomach or discomfort in my stomach.
This pertains to any supplements and that is the consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer/distributor as far as contents and effectiveness. I have no reason to doubt this manufacturer/distributor. Astaxanthin is carotenoid and good antioxident that can be found in certain algae and is what gives salmon the pink-red color. Sometimes astaxathin comes in omega 3 supplements, but not many have it. This astaxanthin supplement from Naturalis also contains MCT oil (oddly listed in the other ingredients category of the nutrition label and not part of the main label, which would give an indication of quantity).
The pills are a small (and I mean small) softgel capsule, which is about what I’ve come to expect from astaxanthin supplements. Being that it is so small, I doubt there is much MCT oil in them. The pills (300 of them) come in a black plastic bottle with a screw on plastic lid. The lid has a flip top on it that I found opens easy enough, but closing would sometimes bind up and be a little fiddly trying to close. The supplement is gluten and soy free, non-GMO, Halal, and manufactured in a GMP certified facility. The astaxanthin comes from AstaMAZ from New Zealand and is derived from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae.
I think this is a good astaxanthin supplement and like that it has a little MCT oil with it. When I get an omega 3 supplement that does not contain astaxanthin, I like to take this additional supplement for added benefit. I also like that it is sustainably derived from algae, which is also my preferred source of omega 3 supplement (over fish or krill oils). If you are looking for an astaxanthin supplement, I would recommend this one.

After taking four caps daily, going through one entire bottle I can actually quick read small texts messages, price tags, and photos without having to put on my eyeglasses. Vision is not clear 100% but I can actually see the words in about 70% sharpness. I have to squint a bit to focus to see. I did not have this option at all prior to this supplement. This is MAJOR for me. I’m impressed that there is actually a supplement that works exactly as it is purported to do. I chose this one specifically because it comes in a base of MCT oil (coconut) instead of a seed oil.
