The capsule was stuck for a long time in my throat every time even though I swallowed it with food. Just too round and too hard for easy swallowing. I threw the bottle away. It was a daily torture.

I have been taking this Astaxanthin product for over a year. I am a big believer in Astaxanthin and its numerous health benefits for better eye health, joint pain, heart health & especially for skin. I noticed that I can stay in the sunshine longer without harsh sunburns since I started taking astaxanthin.
Instead of taking krill or fish oils, I have been taking astaxanthin for several years. I really like this product and will continue to purchase it and reap any health benefits it offers.

I got this because I take many supplements and this one, Astaxanthin is definitely one of my favs. The reason is simply because it is the strongest one (antioxidant) there is outside glutathione which is made in our bodies. To give you an idea how strong it is consider the superstar vitamin C. Astaxanthin is 6000 times stronger than vitamin C and that is not a typo with the 6000 times. So with personally I feel really good when I take this knowing I am hopefully helping my body with the strongest antioxidant there is.
Now I have been taking Astaxanthin for a long time. Astaxanthin is an aquatic carotenoid that is found in Algae. It like other carotenoids it has a red like pigment. Fun Fact ” Krill and Shrimp eat the algae and Lobsters, Salmon, and Pink flamingos eat the krill and shrimp and hence get their red/pink color from this. Now I have known that the Algae containing Astaxanthin can be found mainly in Hawaii and Florida. I had no idea it was found in Iceland. But surprisingly it gets warm enough there for the Algae to live. Now do note the seller states that this AstaQuil is the , “World’s most trusted brand of 100% Icelandic Astaxanthin ” and with that said then it should be easy to find some information on them right ? Wrong ! Nothing !!! I am thinking it’s a typo. I see in Iceland 2 companies that are registered trademark suppliers for Astaxanthin and one is called Algalife and the other is Astareal. But no AsatQuil. Very odd and not encouraging (to me anyway).
Now here recently many companies have been using the seller of the raw ingredients lab test as proof of their product being third party lab tested. This is of course the last person you want doing this. What you want to see is third party lab tested in the US/UK/ or Canada. At the time of this review I can not find any info on that. Normally when a supplement company uses a registered trademark ingredient I am ‘ok’ without a 3rd party lab test. Notice not happy but OK. With this brand using this AstaQuil, with no information that I can find anyway, then I would want third party lab test from said countries or a country with regulated oversight with their ingredient testing. This very well may be third party lab tested and/or it could also be a misspelling of the companies trademark name. For that reason I give this four stars and hopefully this product will be updated if need be. The dosage is spot one with what I like at 12mgs. That is the upper end of the average. Astaxanthin is also fat soluble meaning it will not dissolve or absorb in water. Thankfully this brand used Organic coconut oil to help with that issue. The seller states this helps with enhanced absorption and I totally agree. I don’t feel anything when I take these and just mostly trust it’s doing it’s job like the studies have shown. Sometimes I think I notice better vision with Astaxanthin and that would actually not be surprising at all since scientist see most of it’s antioxidant activity in the skin and eyes. And yes ! Yes I do think it helps my skin look healthier.
At the time of this review without knowing in what country third party lab tested this, I would not recommend this. Hopefully that will be updated as this appears to be very promising! Good Luck and hope this was helpful.

At the time these were these best priced. I found them to be excellent in quality. They are larger than the little tiny ones but not too bad. I recommend them! From Iceland it says!

Used to get this from another app. That said I’ve noticed the floaters in my eyes are no longer noticeable. I’d have to find something and try to actually look for them now. That alone is worth taking it. Didn’t know my night vision had slipped but that has improved as well.
