I purchased these due to lower cost compared to other similar items. They have a typical taste of the gel cap, so swallow with plenty of liquid. No way actually quantify their quality.

This supplement, as it states, is fashioned from AREDS/AREDS2 (Age Related Eye Disease Study). After looking into this further I realized the wisdom in taking this supplement. I, in my very limited knowledge, had considered beta-carotene as a good eye health supplement for everyone. However, in the AREDS study, former smokers who took AREDS with beta-carotene had a higher incidence of lung cancer making this supplement that includes lutein instead of beta-carotene better and safer for smokers. I am not a smoker, but I figure why chance it when the benefits were the same in the study. The difference I found between the AREDS/AREDS2 formula, and this formula is that this formula includes ½ the copper (2mg/1mg) & zinc (80mg/40mg). Initially that concerned me but after looking into it a bit more I found where, during the study they did have a group that was given 25mg zinc and investigators did not find a difference in the effects. So, while this supplement does not have 80mb of zinc as the original, it does have more than the group that was given less and did not show a difference. The goal of including copper is to reduce the risk of copper deficiency associated with high levels of zinc intake so in this formula it was decreased by the same percentage as the zinc giving it the same balance. All of this was found online at the National Eye Institute’s web site.

(Wife’s review) I recently started taking Visi vite Areds Lutein Plus Eye Vitamins and I am hopeful that they will help with my dry eyes in the morning.
As someone who spends a lot of time in front of a computer screen, my eyes tend to feel dry and tired by the end of the day.
The capsules are easy to swallow and I appreciate that they contain a blend of vitamins and minerals specifically designed to support eye health.
I have only been taking them for a short time, but I am looking forward to seeing how they continue to benefit my eye health over the next few weeks.
I would definitely recommend these if you feel like your eyes are needing a little TLC.

As I’ve aged so has my eyesight. I’ve worn glasses and contacts for more than 40 years. In recent years my eyes a drier, I experience some poor vision at night and sometimes my vision is blurry if I’m tired.
I picked up this Visivite AREDS Lutein Plus Eye supplement last month and committed to using it to see if I could change or see any difference in my eyes.
I do feel some improvement in the clarity of my vision but I also feel that is due to my eyes feeling less dry. I am not sure if this product has relieved the dryness or if its something else.
For the price this is an affordable supplement.
Easy to take and doesn’t leave an aftertaste or make your stomach ache
I would recommend this supplement to anyone who has similar vision issues!

Have been trying to take these regularly for a couple of weeks now and so far, i don’t really notice much difference to my eyesight, but I guess it’s a good thing to have eye supplements. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 12 years old so I don’t really know how much of a difference it’ll make on my vision. But overall it seems like a decent supplement for eye health. Not sure what they meant by night vision on the Star rating option tho because I for sure don’t have night vision, but that would be cool haha
