Ours arrived with the heat pad already activated. I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement asap. Great produce even better company. Be prepared for major baby pooping after using this FYI.

When I say this works I mean it, besides me loving all Frida Baby products and owning multiple of them because the consistency in them, this one doesn’t even miss a check box. As a mom of three easy is always my go to and with a click this pad is activated and ready to use making comforting baby a quicker process. It truly is soothing and almost wish I had one for myself. I definitely recommend for new and existing moms as one of the must have tools especially for growing babies who are transitioning and colicky babies too

I like the fact that it has a pouch to use for the baby and a sac for you to “boil” the bags in. It did not work for my daughter, she hated it and still does every time I try to use it to soothe her. The product overall is good as it is warm to the touch when you activate the little bags.

The heat pack barely warms up (so it cannot properly warm the belly to move the gas); it warms in boiling water; the silicone swole like a balloon (reduced when I took it out of the water). It ended up bursting while on my baby and the internal liquid got on her clothes and skin. It’s useless in my opinion.

This worked amazingly the first time we used it. It heated up quickly, and almost instantly calmed our screaming baby. The little pouch with the hand strap is really convenient.
However… it’s really impractical for future uses. It’s got that little metal disc that you flex to activate the heating gel the first time, but from then onward it must be boiled to reactivate. I don’t know about you, but when my baby is screaming in pain, I don’t have the time or the wherewithal to put on a pot of water, wait for it to boil, boil the heating pack for 10-15 minutes, and then wait for it to cool enough to be placed on baby’s belly.
If this were redesigned to be microwaveable, I would absolutely purchase it and recommend it to every parent I know. As it is right now, I’d say don’t waste your money.
