I have used the product for years but could no longer get it in my area. I think it is the best lotion of its kind, it takes care of the dry skin,
does no discolor clothes, and soaks in very quickly. I most definitely recommend it for daily use in a dry climate such as mine.

For the last year I had eczema on my hands. Whenever I would brush my hand against something or bump it on something–just the sort of thing you do normally when opening drawers or grabbing your wallet out of your pocket–my skin would scrape off leaving an open sore or a blood blister would form. These would take forever to heal. However, a French friend introduced me to a creme from Germany containing urea. I almost immediately noticed results. Of course, I could not find the German product online or in any shops in the US so I searched for an American analog. I decided to give “Aqua Care Lotion for Dry Skin, with 10 percent Urea” a try. The results have been great. My eczema seems in retreat or at least minimized AND as a positive side effect my skin is softening. This side effect is particularly welcome because areas that had been drying out due to aging, for example, the skin over my knuckles or finger joints, had not responded to other creams and lotions but do seem to be responding to this one.

If you want an effective, non greasy lotion that soaks in rapidly, this is it. I can’t find this locally and have to order it online. It soaks in almost instantly so if I am at my desk and the phone rings I can answer the phone and use a pen without either slipping out of my hands. No grease spots on paper either. Almost odor free and it doesn’t have a sticky feel, it just soaks into your skin. I massage some into my cuticles and use it on my feet too. It is very effective and works on my excessively dry skin better than any other product that I have tried. I have been using it for over 10 years. You will feel and see instant softening but continued use is the key to actually clear up layers of dead and dry skin and to prevent it from coming back. When I run out or forget to use it—it shows.

I was so happy when I found this product on Amazon. I used to buy it years ago, but then it disappeared from local stores and I never saw it again. This is really the only lotion I have used that has helped my very dry skin. Also, I live in a high desert environment with very low relative humidity. I used this Aqua Care lotion just once and noticed a difference in my skin. It felt softer and less dry. The only negatives: more expensive than drug store brands, and fragrance. It does not smell bad, but it does not smell great either. On the other hand, these are very minor annoyances. I’m just so happy to have found this product again. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to check Amazon sooner!

It moisturizes well and doesn’t feel greasy as all on the face or hands or wherever, which is good. However, because of the Urea, which is what makes it absorb so well it causes the palm-side of my hands to get very dry and like ‘dusty’/ashy. It almost feels like it is thinning my skin on my palms. I’ve used it for about 20 years, but realized that in the last few years it is the cause of this drying of my palms. So, I won’t order it anymore. 🙁

A dermatologist recommended this to me for skin allergies back in the early 70s but when I ran out of it about 15 years ago I could not find a replacement. To say the least it’s been very frustrating for me as I also have very dry skin all year round and have tried many different cream products that sometimes work – but mostly not. Needless to say I have spent a small fortune to the lotion/cream industry! I am so pleased to find it on Amazon and immediately ordered two lotions and two creams for the fear that it may disappear again. It works fantastic for dry itchy skin and heals allergic rashes literally overnight. Thank you Amazon.

I bought this product because of the good reviews seen on amazon.com. The shipment arrived today. The packaging was not perfect because the lotion leaked out of the bottle. A few seconds after I applied it to my daughter’s skin, she started to cry. I had to send her into shower to wash away the lotion and then rush to the nearby Walgreen to get something else to help relieve the dryness of her skin. It could be a great product to others, but not good for my kid. Sigh…

I read on the internet (always dangerous) that urea cream could get rid of keratosis pilaris, so I decided to give it a try. This cream also contains lactic acid, which also has been claimed (on the internet) to help keratosis pilaris. This cream doesn’t make any claims to cure KP and it didn’t make any noticeable improvement to the keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs. However, it is a good moisturiser for really dry skin. I have very dry, sun-damaged skin on my hands and I usually need to apply hand lotion about half a dozen times a day to stop it from getting cracked and dry. I only needed to apply this cream twice a day and my hands look healthier than they have done for years. It’s non-greasy too, which was a problem I had with a different brand of urea cream. It doesn’t smell the best, but the smell is much fainter than the other brand I used. It’s a bit pricey, so I might look for a cheaper brand, but I will buy urea cream again for dry skin. I’ll try something different for my keratosis pilaris. I also like the fact that the list of ingredients is fairly short compared to most moisturisers, the fewer chemicals on my skin the better in my opinion.
