  1. No Name

I never write reviews but I just came to repurchase this and it was TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE… and I’m sad about it.

I am very cautious of what I put on my skin/cleanse with because I have periorbital dermatitis around my eyes and cheeks. I have to be cautious what cleansers and products I use with my prescription medicine and I can’t believe how gentle and calming this product is. It smells refreshing and subtle, and melts right in my hands and leaves a really nice moisture on my skin. I don’t even use any other cleanser now – I use this in the morning and night regardless of if I wore make up before. Speaking of, it also removes eye make up and foundation with minimal effort.

I’d highly highly recommend this balm to anyone with sensitive skin – whether it’s acne prone or rash prone this product is amazing and a great price. 🙂

Cleanses and doesn’t irritate my eyes. Easy to rinse off. Leaves my skin feeling soft , not greasy

This cleansing balm is nice and glide on the face smoothly, it come with little spoon just like most Korean cleansing balm. The texture is nice and smooth, I don’t have to use a lot and do the job nicely and no smelll. Overall I like it , no complaints

I love this cleansing balm! I am always looking for the best product (in this case a cleansing balm) with the best price. This is both – but so much more. The under $10 price is great and it comes in 3 oz. Usually these things come in a paltry 1.7 oz for the same cost or (usually) more. It is as good a cleansing balm as any that I have tried. I used to use Clinique’s cleansing balm, which is good, but significantly more expensive. This has a smooth texture and feel, melts onto my skin and cleanses thoroughly without stripping my skin of the moisture barrier. It rinses off easily and cleanly. No residue. I have mature, dry skin and this helps my face look and feel dewy and soft. The scent is light and lovely – a cross of lavender and green tea. Between the reasonable cost, significant quantity and great quality plus refreshing scent, I will be a regular customer for years to come.

I’ve ordered this product multiple times because it’s just that good! First I love that it’s a clean formula since I have sensitive skin I’m always looking for “cleaner” ingredients in my skincare products, and it’s k beauty so that’s a plus. Second I love that it’s a balm, cleansing oils I’m not a big fan of when it comes to double cleansing, but this balm is the best. It comes w a scoop and you need just a small amount, it’s is so smooth & buttery & just melts so well into your skin, and once you add water it’s so silky, it just works great at melting away any makeup/oil/sunscreen & it just overall feels amazing. The scent is very minimal smells slightly like an essential oil but it’s very clean & mild I personally love the smell. Definitely recommend & will continue to reorder everytime 🙂

I got this on a whim because it was so affordable and had good reviews. I have dry, sensitive skin, with hormonal break outs. This doesn’t dry me out, doesn’t leave a film, doesn’t burn my eyes, and removes my makeup. I obviously haven’t tested it but the jar does say it has a PH of 6(which is great because your face is a 5-6 PH).

I don’t wear foundation but I do use Concealer and a lot of colorful and heavy eye makeup. It removes everything and doesn’t leave residue. You do need to gently rub your eyes for a bit to get mascara off but if you take your time, it will remove all of it. If I have contacts in, they will get cloudy if I get some in my eyes but when I don’t have contacts in, it rinses out of my eyes easily. It also comes with a tiny spatula, which I like because I despise putting my fingers directly into jars. So if you’re looking for a balm, this is worth a try, especially for the price.

Such a great balm for melting away make up. This is a lesser expensive option, but works equally as well. I love that the ingredients are clean. Feels good, smells good and works.

This review is gonna be a long one so strap in!
So I have been an esthetician for almost five years now and even before I became one I was obviously very into skincare; so I have tried my fair share of cleansing balms. From Banilla Co, Heimish & Beauty of Joseon to Clinique and Farmacy (to name a few) I have tried cleansing balms from several different countries and I must say I am definitely a snob when it comes to cleansing balms.

Here are my basic cleansing balm standards:
    • Must be able to wash off without residue & without the aid of a washcloth ✔️
    • Must remove ALL makeup (absolutely no tolerance for raccoon eyes even with the most stubborn waterproof mascara) ✔️
    • Must come with a spatula to maintain cleanliness (not a deal breaker, but bonus if there is separation between the balm and spatula; which this balm does have) ✔️
    • Leave little residue in the eyes. I shouldn’t have to blink through oily, blurry eyes for the rest of the night. ✔️
    • No perfumy smells or added fragrance. This product has a natural earthy smell. ✔️

Now obviously the ingredients matter as well so let’s go through a couple:
•Ethylexyl Palminate: a typical ingredient in a cleansing balm. This is what turns the oil into a milky substance when water is added that allows the balm to leave no residue behind once washed of. This ingredient is known to be pore clogging, but because it is a first cleanse and we should be using another cleanser to follow it, I have never been overly concerned with this ingredient. I have extremely acne-prone skin and this ingredient in cleansing balms has never broken me or my clients out.
    • Rapeseed oil, Tocopheryl acetate (Vitamin E), Ivy Guord, Green Tea, Eggplant, Holy Basil, Turmeric, & Moringa Seed Oil: Can you believe I left some ingredients out of this category to make it smaller? These are all varying ingredients that accomplish similar goals: skin condition agents and antioxidant support. Holy basil is also known to have a skin tightening and firming effect. Along with this many of these ingredients help to calm the skin.
    • Amber Powder: not an ingredient I see very often, but amber is finely ground to create an extremely gentle physical exfoliation.
    • Lavender & Grapefruit Peel Oil: These are the only two ingredients that MAY cause problems for some people. Keep in mind the grapefruit is the very last ingredient making it almost negligible. But some people who are sensitive may have issues from the lavender. I personally have quite sensitive skin, but have never had issues with essential oils and this balm is no different.
    • They also put the pH on the packaging. Major bonus points for that.

Overall this balm hits all of the marks for a great cleansing balm and at an insanely low price. The ingredient deck blew me away and the product feels amazing on the skin. It is just as good as Korean cleansing balms and at a price most can afford. It washes off with ease, removes all makeup, and doesn’t leave a residue behind. This product is not just “good for the price”; it’s amazing in its own right and the price is just a bonus! Thank you AOA for keeping your prices low all these years. Back in the day I was buying AOA makeup off of ShopMissA and so I can’t say I’m surprised that they’ve done it again with a hit product. The only people I would caution are those with overly sensitive skin and potentially those with a compromised barrier from the lavender, but most will have no issues. I will definitely continue using and recommending this product!!
