I don’t have scientific facts about this product, but I think it has greatly improved my horse’s skin/coat and hoofs. He’s been on it for years and he looks so much better then when I bought him 6 years ago. He likes the flavor, so I mix in with some oats after a trail ride. Anything that keeps him healthy, I stick with; this product is a mainstay of his diet.

In order to determine the amount of flax seed oil per gallon, as well as what the other oil(s) are is not on the label or in the descriptions. It is as though they want you to believe it is pure flax oil.
despite extensive review of the website as well as the info provided by Animed in their product info, it seems it is a secret. By phoning the manufacturer I was told… never saw it in writing.. that it is half soybean oil and half flax seed oil. So I give it 4 stars though I will continue buying it for my horse. Deceptive or absent labeling really should earn it 3 stars, however at present there are few competitors to choose from.

Really was misleading! The title is “Flax Seed Oil” but it appears to be 1% Flax oil and
99% Soy oil.
I screwed up and ordered it without looking at the small print. Pretty expensive for
Soy oil.

Flax seed oil is the best for putting weight on our horses and this brand comes less expensively than we can find at the feed stores.

I have ordered this product consistently for the last several years. This is the first time it has come with no protection inside the box. The cap popped and oil leaked everywhere. What a disappointment. The product itself is very good. But the supplier horrible.

Easy to top dress on feed and my horse doesn’t seem to care that I added this to his breakfast. With its high Omega 3 content, It’s a lot healthier than other oils, which use way to much Omega 6 which promotes inflammation.

Great product – endorsed by our vet for our horses. Good information on bottle as to how much to feed each horse according to their weight.
After using this product, their skin is shiny and healthy. I add it to their grain every morning.

Easy to use. Seems to be helping with my horses itchy coat condition. Helps the powdered medicine I give my horse stick to his feed. I wish it had more flaxseed oil & less soybean oil in it but a good price for what you get
