This ionic Selenium Complex is easy to take as a supplement. I find it beneficial for the things I take selenium for, but any claims in reviews are rejected. If you find yourself wanting a selenium supplement, this one is a good choice.

This Anderson’s Ionic Selenium Complex liquid supplement is sourced from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA. It is manufactured in Ogden, Utah, USA.
Along with the selenium, this liquid complex contains magnesium, chloride and sodium. The suggested dosage is 1.5 ml a day, however, I have decided to stop taking 1.5 ml a day and take just .5 ml instead. The serving size on the bottle is listed as .5 ml.
The serving size of .5 ml provides 273% of the recommended daily value of selenium, 7% of magnesium, 4% of chloride and less than 1% of sodium. If I take 3 times the serving size those numbers jump to 819% of the recommended daily value of selenium, 21% of magnesium, 12% of sodium and about 3% of sodium. I am taking this supplement for the selenium content. Since .5 ml supplies almost 3 times the recommended daily value, I feel confident that my selenium needs are being met with a bit extra thrown in for good measure.
I once purchased and used a sublingual form of vitamin B12 which left the inside of my mouth painfully blistered for at least a week. That sublingual vitamin B12 taught me a hard lesson and since then I dilute in other liquids all liquid supplements that I take.
The suggested dosage of 1.5 ml of this liquid selenium complex tastes bitter when mixed in a small amount of sugar free orange soda or in a small amount of unsweetened black tea. Using .5 ml per day of this liquid selenium provides me with my recommended daily value of selenium, less sodium, and is easier to dilute in other liquids so that it tastes less bitter.
We all know that it’s best to get our vitamins and minerals from eating a varied diet. Selenium is needed to support the thyroid which in turn, along with the iodine that is found in foods from the ocean or from iodized table salt, supports the immune system. Eating just two Brazil nuts a day can provide us with the recommended daily value of selenium.
I love Brazil nuts and if they are around I will eat a lot more than just two of them. Brazil nuts can also be somewhat expensive, especially for those folks like me who can’t stop at eating just two per day.
I love that this liquid selenium complex is available for those times when I do not have Brazil nuts on hand, and, because I can control the dosage.
I rate this Anderson’s Ionic Selenium Complex five stars because it provides me with the selenium that I need for proper immune support. I also like that I can control the dosage since it’s a liquid and, I like that it’s made in America.

I wanted to be able to take this ionic selenium supplement from Anderson’s (Mineral Resources International, Inc.). It’s a good size bottle and includes other beneficial nutrients. Being ionic is supposed to make it even more bio-available so that our bodies absorb more of it. Unfortunately, I’m not able to get past the bitterness no matter how I try to take it or how much I dilute it. If you are less sensitive to intensely bitter flavor, this might be a good product for you.
