    I absolutely love this product. It is a nice light-medium (my opinion) coverage CC cream that balances and evens out skin tone while maintaining a natural look. I feel as though some people complaining about it being too thick are trying to slather it on like a moisturizer. Yes, if you apply this with a heavy hand it will look ridiculous. This product isn’t meant to be worn as a full/heavy foundation. There are plenty out there but I don’t find this to be one of them. I have very fair skin with freckles and a lot of product looks fake because my skin is very light but my freckles are dark brown. I found this product to blend wonderfully and smoothly and I like it because it isn’t drying and can be worn everyday. It does smell like roses but I find it appealing, though some may not. A big selling point for me is that it is SPF 30 which protects the skin from 97% of the sun’s rays. It can also boast UVA and UVB protection all while maintaining the leaping bunny logo which means good for your body and the environment. I did some research and in an article by Stephen Wang, a director of dermatology at Memorial Sloane-Kettering states that you must have at least an SPF 30 with broad spectrum protection to take care of your skin. The beauty of this product is it offers enough coverage to be able to wear it daily without having to layer sunscreen on with it as well. This has fast become one of my favorite BB/CC creams and I’ve tried quite a few. I really can’t say anything bad about it other than some people might not like the smell but that is personal preference. For me, 5/5 and I plan on buying this repeatedly.

    It is one of the best cc creams for me. Light coverage, perfect for fair skin and gives good sun protection.
    Unfortunately the date expires in 3 months. Didn’t return it because I do need a cc cream now and hopefully I can use half of it till the end of the date.

    I’ve been using this stuff for years and it makes my skin plump and moisturized. I couldn’t find the tinted version in stores in the winter so I came here to get it. I wish they had a shade between the only two shades they offer. The paler one just looks like pure zinc oxide on your skin, while this one can be a bit too tan in the winter (but seriously not bad!). I like how it’s not super orange like some natural products —it really is a good ‘tan’ colour and I love the ingredients. The rose smell is very, very mild or I wouldn’t like that.

    I have dry pregnancy skin and was looking for a mineral based sunscreen for the winter. Even in the winter we get a good amount of sun but a lot of cold wind as well. I went through all the usual suspects looking for a mineral sunscreen, ED, Australian Gold, La Rose Pose, Cerave, etc. And this beat them all by far.

    The trouble with most mineral sunscreens is the white cast and they can be extremely drying. This sunscreen is the perfect shade for my fair skin, and is moisturizing enough to replace my morning moisturizer. I just wake up and put it on. Whatever is left of my nighttime moisturizer is enough plus this layered on top.

    Also, I have pretty even skin (from years of sunscreen!) and so this is my “makeup.” My children tell me it makes me look young. lol. I love that it works and I get the added benefit of smelling like roses first thing in the morning. (The smell dissipates by midday).

    And who doesn’t want to smell roses first thing in the morning? 🙂 love love love it!

    UPDATE 1/20/2020: So far I have purchased this twice. While the quality is still top notch, there doesn’t seem to be any consistency between batches. For example, the first tube I got was more orange in undertone than the second one, and this seems to be a common problem for customers. The smell was also stronger in the first tube, whereas with the second it was more subtle. I am not sure which one is the “new” formula the other customers are talking about, but I am lucky enough to have a neutral skin tone so either formula seems to work for me. I can see how this would be frustrating to people who have either a strong cool or warm tone, as you never know if you will get your preferred shade. HOWEVER, I prefer the lighter tone one, only because it seems more natural looking of a shade. The orangey formula will probably look better during the summer months when it’s easy to tan.

    Bottom line: I personally feel this product deserves 5 stars, EXCEPT for the inconsistent tone of the sheer nude formula. If you have very fair skin, I recommend trying the Andalou Age Defying BB Cream (in the purple tube) in sheer nude, as it is light — and based on the reviews, it is always the same shade. It also could help lighten the orange tint of the 1000 roses one when mixed together, which I do sometimes. Overall I still recommend this CC cream. You can’t beat the price or quality of ingredients.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:

    I have sensitive, dry skin with lots of scarring from cystic acne. While the scent of this is pretty strong, this lotion is really nice. It helps give my skin a dewy look that I haven’t had since high school and makes my skin feel very soft, even with all my peeling from tretinoin treatments. The coverage is minimal once rubbed in so I do still need to cover a couple problem spots with concealer, but overall I prefer wearing this rather than foundation or covering thickly with concealer. So far I have not experienced any allergies with this formula. I am quite happy with this product.

I wear it every single day no matter what the weather is. It smells and feels good and evens out my skin tone and I know I’m protecting my face from the sun.
