i switched to plant based protein like 3 years and i have never looked back. i don’t like the flavor or texture of whey – i find that plant based tastes better, dissolves better, has great nutrition numbers (low fat), and has just all around been a great choice for me. these are great because they are soooo portable. earlier this year i got some portion sized containers which are cool and all but they are still bulky – these are not. they are the size same as a package of oatmeal. i’ve only tried this peanut butter flavor but i would totally be open to others. i like the flavor but i think it could be just called peanut, it tastes like eating a handful of peanuts – plain and simple. it’s tasty. i do recommend sticking to the recommended 8oz of water. i wasnt thinking on my first pour and went overboard and it was way too thin. i dont think this is standalone a meal replacement but definitely is a solid part of one – like a bit of fruit or if you don’t mind carbs, some oatmeal or dry cereal or something small will and you will be full enough for several hours. i might have found my new protein shake option – these are so easy to throw into a lunch bag purse to add to a glass of water later in the day. they do work best in a shaker bottle or blender, but do dissolve easily enough work with a spoon/straw in a glass of water. i look forward trying others.

This powder is like none that I’ve tried before. It has minimal, simple, clean USDA Organic and therefore non-GMO ingredients and no chemically derived sweeteners (peas are already naturally sweet and the monk fruit rounds it out nicely), so there’s no aftertaste. The banana/cinnamon flavor needs nothing to mask it as it tastes to me exactly like fresh bananas with nothing else muddying its very pleasant taste. I mix it with a frother and it has a smooth, non-gritty texture.
My prior experience with plant-based protein powders is that they have an odd/gross taste and smell due to the numerous ingredients (some of which are in my opinion rather questionable) which are thrown into the mix in an attempt to make it more marketable. Too their ‘flavors’ require a vivid imagination for them to remotely resemble their description (i.e. banana, berry, etc.) partly due to stevia or other so called natural sweeteners used. When I have purchased them, they needed *a lot* of ‘doctoring’ for me to be able to choke them down and even then, the nasty taste lingered.
So, when I ordered it, it was for the ingredients and as a convenient way to boost my daily protein consumption, but I assumed that I’d probably need to mask the flavor with cacao powder. However, the product as it is manufactured tastes so good that I actually look forward to drinking it mixed only with milk, but it’s also good with cacao added which adds an antioxidant boost.
Bravo and +5 stars for the product but for my budget, the price is rather prohibitive. Even so, I really recommend this product to those for whom that won’t be a determining factor in their purchase.

Overall I really liked this powder. It tastes good and the texture was nice and thick. What is keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the chai vanilla flavor really mostly tastes like vanilla. I was expecting at least a little bit of a bite to it, but it was very very mild. I also might just be spoiled because I really like a nice spicy chai (most restaurants serve quite mild ones).

Chocolate Peanut Butter taste is really the best.
Perfect balance of chocolate and peanut butter.
Blends easily with water and easy to drink. I like all the organic nutrients it has included.
I will be buying more.

I mostly eat a plant based diet and have been using a different organic vegan protein powder for years, but didn’t like how incredibly sweet it was or that it had added gums and stevia (not that I’m opposed to stevia but my toddler steals my shakes and I’m trying to limit her intake). With this protein powder, I really appreciate the clean and simple ingredients (love that it has Ceylon cinnamon—which is far superior and safer for my kids). I get a similar amount of protein per serving, and the number of grams in one serving of this Nutra Pulse powder is less compared to the other brand I was using, so I don’t have to consume so much which is great. The taste is mild and not overly sweet. I first tried it with filtered water and ice in an electric blender, but think I used too much water and it was too watered down. The second time I used water again but added half of a banana and my own organic Ceylon cinnamon and it was much better. Next time I plan to add a seed or nut butter for more flavor.
My only complaint would be the price. If they could sell in bulk in large containers, perhaps that could help drive down the cost. My old powder was $1.50 per serving (Amazon price) and this one comes to $2.25 per serving (packet). I would pay the full price if they can add some other beneficial ingredients such as prebiotics and probiotics as well, since my old powder included that too.
Additionally, I am wondering why the allergy statement on the back of the packet says it contains nuts. I don’t see where the nuts are coming from, so I’m not sure if my nut allergy child can have this or not? Would like some clarification from the company please.
Otherwise I’m satisfied with the taste and ingredients and this may be the brand I’ll be switching over to as soon as I run out of my old stock.
