The lotion itself is quite nice, seems to moisturize well, and has, just after a few uses, seemed to improve my skins smoothness after years of trying other moisturizers.
However, it does smell distinctly of coffee grounds. If that is a deal breaker, I would suggest an alternate option!

I bought this reluctantly thinking it was just another gimmick. Boy, was I wrong! Just a tiny amount covers more area than you would think and within 2-3 applications, the bumps started disappearing. The bumps were so bad prior that I wouldn’t wear a sleeveless top. They are all but gone now but I’m still using it just to make sure they stay away. I also used it on my thighs and those bumps are quickly going away as well. It seems that I still have most of the small tube left because it is very thick and a little goes a long way. There is a slight smell but as it soaks in, the smell goes away. Two thumbs up for this cream!

I developed kp when I was 5, 18 years ago. My mom and I tried everything besides amputating. I saw this lotion on TikTok and gave it a try. I immediately saw and felt a difference within two days. My arms have never been this soft. The only downsides are the cat litter smell and how long it takes to rub in and spread around, but it’s so worth it to not have to be insecure about my skin anymore. Even my scarring from years of compulsively picking at my skin is starting to fade after about a month of use. I do notice my arms start to get a little rough again if I go more than two days forgetting to use this lotion, but that just solidifies to me that this stuff really works and isn’t just a fluke.

I have tried everything to get rid of the KP bumps on my chest and finally found this. I have been using it religiously morning and night for about 2 weeks now and I have seen great results. The bumps are almost gone! It is a little bit on the thick side – more so than your normal moisturizer so you really have to rub it in. There is a slight “weird” smell but because I am using it on a relatively small are of my body, it doesn’t really bother me at all. Getting rid of the bumps is worth it to me.

LOVE this stuff. It’s pricey but it works. You have to exfoliate with some kind of a scrub, I use a sugar one. And then I use this on my arms when I get out of the shower. You HAVE to be consistent though but if you do, you can definitely see the results.

EDIT: 3/29/24 – I gave up!
I stopped using this about 2 weeks ago. I used this very consistently for about 9 weeks with absolutely no difference in the redness on my arms, which was my biggest reason for trying this. I gave up. I still have a decent amount of product left in the bottle, so if it works for you, it should last a while. I’ve come to the conclusion that lactic acid based products do not work for me. I’ve since started using retinol cream and Selsun Blue on my arms (google it).

I’ve had KP for about 10 years. It’s been bad the past 7 or so years. They say it goes away in your late 20s/early 30s, but I’ll be 34 this year and it’s just getting worse. I’ve tried SO many things and decided to give this a try bc its affordable. First off, it is TTTTHICK and does indeed smell like maple syrup. The smell isn’t off-putting to me, and it does go away, but that is the initial scent. Much better than some of the other KP lotions I’ve tried so smelling like pancakes for 15 mins is no biggie. My worst KP is on my arms (bumpy and VERY red). The redness is the worst part for me. For years, I’ve put makeup on my arms before big events and I’ve tried to cover my arms when possible bc its embarrassing and I’m very self-conscious about it. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks. My skin is noticeably softer, less bumps but the redness hasn’t changed at all. I do use exfoliating gloves in the shower and I put this on my arms immediately after showering (on damp skin for better absorption). I’ve always exfoliated using other brand lotions as well and got similar results. Again, the redness is my biggest issue and so far, in 2 weeks, no change yet. I’m very consistent, using twice per day, everyday. I’ll update this if the redness changes.
Overall, if bumps are your main problem, give this a try. Its more affordable than other brands and with exfoliating, you will see less bumps quickly.

The smell is awful and it’s sticky. Doesn’t really work for my Arms. Pretty expensive as well.

I’ve been using AmLactin KP Bumps Be Gone for a few weeks to treat my keratosis pilaris, and while it’s not an instant fix, I’ve definitely noticed some improvement. The lotion has a nice, non-greasy texture and absorbs quickly, which I appreciate. It’s gradually softened the rough bumps on my arms, but it’s important to be patient—it took a couple of weeks before I saw visible changes.
One thing to note is that it does have a slight scent, but it’s not overpowering. Overall, if you’re looking for a product to treat KP, I would recommend AmLactin KP Bumps Be Gone for smoother, softer skin, but keep in mind it requires consistent use over time.

I had really bad KP aka strawberry skin on my butt and all the way down the back of my thighs this product has minimizes the appearance of the KP and my skin is so smooth. It’s not greasy at all but it is thick and it last all day. It does have a weird honey smell but it nothing to worry about.
