Great product for animals. The bottle is a little bigger than small size and it will last you for a while. I bought this in February, and I still have about half left. Please follow instructions on the bottle of how many drops to give to your cat or dog. It depends on the weight of your animal. It is bacon flavour and my cats love it. I mix it with their wet food.

WONDERFUL “liquid” B Complex supplement to easily be able to dose pets who will NOT swallow a regular “capsule”!

We have a little Shih Tzu who used to be sooooooooooooooo good about swallowing her supplement pills when she was younger. All we did is coat them with a bit of butter, put her in a sit-stay, and then tell her “TREAT!”. She would gobble up her vitamins in a second.

Fast forward 12 years…. She’s super picky now. We can usually get her to swallow them if we coat them with cream cheese, salmon cream cheese, or peanutbutter, but when she had very bad seasonal allergies this past summer, we had a horrible time of it! She just refused most of her supplements. We got away with adding the capsule contents to her homecooked organic meals, BUT only with supplements that did not smell “medicine-y”. IF you have ever smelled a B-Comlex capsule or caplet, you know they are…..strong smelling. She would refuse her food if I dared to try and add it to her meals. The vet told me “not to worry about it” for a few mos — that she got her vitamins from her food. I knew better than that! Dogs NEED Vit B’s, esp B12. She is on a no grain diet, and she doesn’t eat pork. I knew she wasn’t getting any vit B from her food. I reluctantly “didn’t’ worry about it” for about 2 mos. Well…..HUGE MISTAKE! She came down with what looked like “glossitis” (shiny, reddish tongue). I knew this was NOT normal. At the time, I didn’t know what was going on. We rushed her to the vets. They didn’t know either. Since she had a sinus issue along with her atopic allergies, they just suspected a sinus infection and put her on antibiotics. That did nothing. After researching, I found articles on Glossitis. I asked the vets about it, but they told me they doubted that is what it was *don’t get me started on vets!*. I decided to test my theory out on my own. I found a few liquid Vit B Complex, but most had either yeast (she is allergic to yeast ingredients) , or had a lot of sugar in them.

Lucikly, I came across this brand. It smells like bacon. Enough said. My dog LOVES it. 🙂 The battle had been WON! YAY!
Within about 2 weeks or less?…the shiny, red tongue was 90% back to normal (only glossy way in the back of her tongue). It took about almost 1 month for her tongue to get 100% normal. Thank G*D for this product! Needless to say, we changed vets and found one who is much more informed! We had to go a whole State away, but it is worth it!

So, any negatives to this product?
Well, it does contain fructose, but I can’t imagine it could be palatable without it!
And it has xanthum gum, which acts as a thickener. It is apparently derrived from either corn, wheat, dairy, or soy — ALL of which can be allergens to
dogs, but….so far, so good when we dosed it. It was the best alternative we could find. It got rid of her tongue issue, and she did seem to have a TON more energy!

IMHO, I think this product rates A++++++, esp if you have an older and/or ill pet who is unable to swallow pills.
Now that she is fine and is amiable to swallowing her supplements, we have gone back to giving her the people-quality B-Complex capsule, but every now and then (about 1 x week) I will give her a squirt of this liquid B Complex just as a special insurance to make sure her B12 needs are covered. The only reason we went back to giving her the regular capsules is because they are much higher mgs in each of the individual B’s, other than in B12. We give her a 50mg B Complex capsule daily as her normal dose.

I wish I could find a complete multi vitamin for her in liquid form — that would make her life and mine so much easier, lol! The only ones I have found are ones for infants, but all of those contain “sorbitol” and that can be toxic to dogs. Thankfully, This PETS AMINO B-PLEX does NOT contain any sorbitol! Excellent!

Just kidding, it doesn’t smell like hot garbage. But it DOES smell RANCID. It made my cat sick. He threw up a few hours after the fact that I mixed it with his wet food. To add, he has IBD. I don’t recommend this product because you’re taking a gamble on which batch you’re getting and the list of ingredients are TERRIBLE. Had I known what some of the ingredients were, I would have never bought this. But it was recommended.

I got this ingredients list on Vet Rx Direct’s website:

    What is in Amino B-Plex?

Inactive Ingredients: Water, fructose, natural flavors, potassium sorbate and xanthan gum.
Active Ingredients per 30 mL: Proprietary Amino Acid Blend(includes: lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, taurine, threonine, arginine, leucine, isoleucine, valine, glutamine and histidine) 100 mg, Pantothenic Acid (calcium pantothenate) 75 mg, Niacinamide 75 mg, Spirulina 50 mg, Potassium (potassium chloride) 50 mg, Vitamin B-1 (thiamine HCl) 15 mg, Vitamin B-2 (riboflavin 5-phosphate) 15 mg, Vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine HCl) 15 mg, Iron (from aqueous liver fractions) 840 mcg, Vitamin B-12 (cyanocobalamin) 30 mcg.

This product is a true life saver, seriously. My 9 year old rescue cat all of the sudden stopped eating two weeks ago, and would vomit if she came close to food. I immediately took her to my vet where blood tests were done on her Kidneys, Liver and Thyroid. All test came out fine as well as her physical exam. I tried for a little over a week to get her to eat anything as she was slowly withering away before my eyes. During this time, I took her back to the vet two more times in order to hydrate her, provide her Boost, and get a vitamin B shot. Each time after the vet visit, she would rally and act more like her normal self and eat broth (i.e. I actually made bone broth out of desperation to nourish her). But, the day following the vet visits, while still acting hungry, she would shy away from her food, and look depressed. It dawned on me to research vitamin B for pets, and add it to her bone broth. I immediately ordered this product for next day delivery, and once it arrived, I gave her a small dose. While she was hungry, she didn’t want to be close to food, so I administered it orally (i.e. dabbed it on my finger and put my finger in her mouth). Within a few hours, she started to rally and eat. Each day since her first home dose, she eats more and more, is gaining her weight back, and is acting 99% of normal. This product is the only thing that changed in her routine since she became ill, and literally saved her life.

I have a diabetic cat whose hind legs are beginning to fail due to Diabetic Neuropathy. We increased his insulin until his blood sugar was in the acceptable range. The only way to help heal his hunched back and splayed hind legs (from standing/sitting/walking on his hocks) was to give him the methylcobalamin form of B12, which can be absorbed directly into the spinal fluid.
It’s really my own fault as I did not read the label.
First of all, it’s a B Complex and the wrong form of B12 for Feline Diabetic Neuropathy.
Taste/Smell is STRONG BACON. Perhaps a wee bit too strong but your cat may love it. Mine ate it.
Stirs into wet canned food but doubtfully (I am guessing) into dry food. Maybe take out daily dose and warm it up in needle-less medicine syringe under hot water before stirring in with dry food. I feel like that would work.
Good B Complex Feline Vitamin for healthy kitties. Not for diabetics.

My cat was pretty much on her deathbed after a CONVENIA (antibiotic shot) at the vet. If your pets needs an antibiotic, please research it first and try to get the vet to give them something else. This particular one almost killed my cat. I should’ve researched it more before blindly trusting the vet. Moving on…one day after the shot, my cat started vomiting every 15 mins, not eating, not drinking and had diarrhea. ZERO ENERGY. She just laid in her bed and was withering away. This lasted for days. I started syringe feeding bc she was nothing but skin and bones. She was a pretty small cat to begin with. I was hopeless. Depressed. Angry at myself for allowing this. I found these vitamin supplements and didn’t think much, but there were good reviews and I got them. I started giving them to her 2x a day. I was still doing assisted feedings and water bc she did not eat AT ALL. After about a day, she went to her bowl and drank water for the first time. Did not eat yet but there was progress! Next day, she licked a bit of her wet food and chewed some dry food! Today, she ate more and actually has energy to jump on the couch and table! I’m beyond blown away at what this supplement along with tons of prayers did! We are not out of the woods yet, but this literally got my cat back on her feet within two days. I will be giving this to her for a while, along with some probiotics. It does smell like bacon, I doubt she would just eat it by herself if I put it on her food, but I will be using the syringe and administering it directly into the side of her mouth. Please get this if you have an ill pet with loss of appetite, or lethargy.

Great product. Helps my cat who is so finicky and doesn’t get enough nutrients. Definitely see a difference.

  9. Marilyn R. Teegarden

This has been a vitamin additive that my cats and kittens all like.

  10. Amazon Customer

Since dosing is given by weight I’m able to add this to my senior ten-pound cat’s wet food, and he finds it entirely palatable. He seems more energetic since he’s been on it.
