I love this product and have purchased it more than once. It is a light cream that leaves my face with a dewy look. It was a great compliment when a friend asked what product I was using and immediately ordered some for herself.

This is a very high quality cream that contains excellent and clean ingredients. I have seen this brand around at a couple of my favorite major retailers and all I knew before actually trying this moisturizer is that it is known for being a clean brand. I like the brand’s story after watching a video on it’s website. What I didn’t know is that the founder is from NYC with a twenty year background in the skin care industry, and then created Alypn Beauty after moving to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, realizing that some of the most potent skincare ingredients can be found in nature. And because the elements are so extreme in a mountainous climate, she was determined to create products that nourish and protect the skin at an even higher level.
Anyway, all of this to say, I am very picky about what I use on my skin because I am super sensitive, but the fact that this is accepted by the National Eczema Association and is made with such care and concern for every ingredient gave me complete confidence to give it a go. I love the texture and the barely there scent. It is soothing, hydrating and causes no redness or irritation at all to my incredibly dry and sensitive skin. I was torn between giving this a four and a five star rating and would probably give it four and a half stars if I could, but the only thing that kept it at four is that it is in a jar as opposed to a tube or a pump bottle. Maybe the glass is more sustainable and a better way to house the product, but I am not a huge fan of dipping fingers in and out of my moisturizer day in and day out. I will continue using this to determine if it will be a repurchase, but for now, I would say if you are in the market for a new, natural moisturizer, this is definitely one to consider.

I received a sample of this moisturizer from Sephora and I’m glad I did it is expensive but it’s worth it ..works very well. My skin retains its moisture all day long. Little quantity needed to cover the entire face

The hydration was great. Helped me get rid of flaky, itchy skin on my face!

I was hoping that since this was a thick cream moisturizer that it would be very moisturizing for my dry skin. Unfortunately it seems to mostly sit on the surface of the skin, taking a lot of work to get rid of the white cast on my face. It doesn’t settle into the skin well and I find myself still looking pretty dry within 30 minutes of applying. I have much better luck with my cheap drugstore moisturizer. That said, I do appreciate that this moisturizer is actually fragrance free. It’s hard to find many fragrance free moisturizers to try out. I think if I continue to use this cream, I’ll layer it on top of my regular moisturizer in an attempt to create a barrier during the upcoming cold months.

I’m shocked at the reviews for this “moisturizer”. I can’t remember the last time I purchased something and felt so duped. I’ve actually made better moisturizer myself. I couldn’t believe I spent $70 on this. I couldn’t wait to be done with it forever. Unfortunately using it felt like torture, because it wasn’t moisturizing, it was way overpriced, and there wasn’t much else redeeming about it either. The scent was… normal, I guess? Not really like it was scented, just that something was there and it didn’t smell especially bad. The container is glass which is maybe what makes it look and feel like a more substantial product than it actually is. Holy hell, never again. Maybe my hopes were too high because their name is “Alpine” beauty and I live in an alpine environment, where good moisturizer is something you can’t live without. Either way, just no. No no no. I’ve tried two other new moisturizers in this exact price range that freaking run circles around this, but those products were actually really good across the board. Can’t wait to pick one of them to be my go-to moisturizer – I really can’t lose, as long as I stay away from this.
