I’m giving it 5 stars because my five year old loves it as do we. The small weighted cats are comforting and one of the few designed toys that I can adjust in such a way that they can be snuggled despite my child’s limited mobility. The flatness helps tremendously as well. The large black cat is great for her lap in the wheelchair as it helps keep her legs in place and won’t fall off as easily as a regular plush or plastic toy.
That being said, cleaning is a challenge. Not for the outside as long as the inside is taken out. DO NOT FORGET THE INSERT! I made this mistake with one of the small ones and put it altogether in the washer and dryer. It shrunk and mildewed so I had to toss and rewash the rest of the laundry. Also, if your child is in diapers or wets the bed make sure they are out of the danger zone. While the cover is machine washable, even after using a damp cloth with a little dawn soap it’s difficult to clean. You can’t remove the fennel seeds and lavender as the insert has no opening. Your best bet is surface cleaning, air drying, then a good spritz of Lysol disinfectant spray before putting it back in its skin.
The smell isn’t anything to write home about. It’s fishy lavender, but it doesn’t lose a star because I think most lavender scented products unless it’s an air freshener or candle smell meh so I got these cats without any high expectations about the scent anyway. I’ve sprayed with a nontoxic skin friendly spray after heating it up and it’s helped. Also, If it isn’t heated the scent is extremely mild.
Price is good. It’s decent enough that when I ruined one I didn’t break the bank to buy another, though it’s enough that I’m doing my very best not to let the other two get ruined.
Long story short: great product, a bit smelly, cleaning dirty insert sucks, but lovely and useful for my special needs daughter.

This is such a cute heating pad. I microwave it at 1min intervals to avoid uneven overheating, then flip it in between. The lavender scent is ok and staring to fade. I like that it holds the heat for a long time.

I love everything about it besides the smell. It gets moist after you microwave it so that smell will transfer to your clothes/skin. I can see how it very very vaguely smells like lavender, though. Perhaps if you stepped on lavender and then smelled your shoe. Luckily it’s tolerable if you don’t get too close to it. So I’ll probably continue to use this and hope the smell fades over time. It does stay very warm and the cat is so so cute. Very soft as well. Just feels like a warm blanket.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a child. It is treated as a stuffed animal currently and sits on various pieces of furniture looking annoyed (I chose the cat with the somewhat angry face). Very cute! It does also function as it’s intended and is a great gift idea in my opinion.

This thing is so cute!! Looks well made and fabric is soft. Cools down quicker than my other microwave heating pads but not bad!

He looks just as cute in person, and is a good size, as well. It holds warmth for a decent amount of time, and is nicely weighted. The instructions did warn that he will be kind of damp the first few times you use him, and that was definitely true. He was putting of a lot of steamy moisture the first 5 or 6 times, but it eventually all went away the more you microwave him. I like it extra warm, but be warned, he’ll start to take on a burned popcorn smell if you overdo it.

From the packaging to the actual product (medium black cat heating pad) its really impressive. Super cute box and lovely insert makes it ready to give as a gift and it will definitely be loved by the recipient (think girl with her first period, perfect comfort item to help with cramps) The soft cat is adorable and smells awesome and it makes heating pads cute and cool.

this is the best heating pad we’ve ever used! stays a comfortable temperature for a long time, easy to clean, and even has a lavender scent! holds to the applied area, very flexible yet durable. easy to use, super super cute, and the packaging was great! you can tell the manufacturer really cares and adds that personal touch.
