I find this to be an amazing supplement to keep your immune system going strong. The quality, and effectiveness is unparalleled.
I have been using this product on my doctor’s suggestion to help my body produce it’s own glutathione. NAC is a precursor. This along with other carefully chosen supplements has helped my health improve tremendously. I particularly like ARG because it does not contain many of the inactive ingredients that can cause problems in other lower-qualitiy supplements.
My 5 year old autistic son takes this as part of his daily supplement regimen to increase speech and social awareness. We tried bulk powders, other brands – all of which smelled pungent and tasted sour. As I have to mask any supplement with juice, it was great to find this one as it is easily ground into powder and our son seems more accepting of this brand than others. He takes it in juice (in am and pm) with a small dab of grape jelly as a sweetener. Great results so far with the combination we have been giving him – speech and vocabulary increased, more awareness re social cues…
UPDATE 8/8/16
Tried another brand that came powdered in capsule – gave son pungent gas – mom tried with same nasty result.
Mom also noticed other brand was less effective at mucus reduction / sinus pressure- which is a key aspect of this Aminos function.
Switched back to ARG version.
Son now 6, gets 900mg in morning with Delsym (dextromethorphan is a neurological agonist – also helps speech in autism/PDD )- and he is in mainstream Kinder at academically challenging private school… More social! Engaged! Google NAD autism speech and there are studies explaining gluthione aspect re autism…
This is an effective product but I think I’ll stick with my and n-acetyl-cysteine ethyl esters (better than liposomal) powdered capsules. The tablets are very hard and very heavy. This is one of the heaviest bottles of supplements I’ve ever tested in two years I’ve been in the vine program. Not saying that’s a bad thing but something that compressed is going to be harder to digest and get into your system and get into your bloodstream and cross the blood-brain barrier. Like I said I’m just going to stick with my regular brand. I’m not saying these aren’t effective because they do work they’re just not as effective as what I normally take. Don’t freak out at the smell of this, it’s not pleasant but normal. I take this because my doctor told me I have to since I don’t produce glutathione. I think this is an excellent product.
The pill has a semi-sweet flavor. I chew it to make sure it does not sit in my stomach due to low acid. It contains more than NAC. Ingredients: N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) 200 mg, Trimethylglycine 300 mg, Rubonucleic Acid 120 mg, Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) 100 mg. It is a balanced mix of good-for-you acids that work synergistically as antioxidants and more. The main thing is that the NAC will clean out your liver. That took a load of inflammation off of me. I feel a lot better. It helped get rid of headaches and cleared some brain fog due to candidas, metal, and chemical toxicity. The ALA is found in Omega 3 oils and works to balance Omega 6. These are all good for your overall health in more ways I can enumerate. This is a well made product. I am impressed that this company provides very well made supplements.
Besides, NAC is recommended by Dr. OZ. Why not trust a good source.
