This is my go-to product when I am desperate for sinus/allergy/cold/flu relief. I like that it uses aspirin rather than acetaminophen (Tylenol) for analgesic pain relief. My only complaint is I would prefer it without flavoring. Otherwise I would use it more. My husband doesn’t mind the taste at all, but has tummy distress probably due to the aspirin. Thx to makers for returning to aspirin as overdose on acetaminophen is a grave (as in “deadly”) concern. If you prefer acetaminophen the capsules work great too.

I’ve used Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold for years. It works great for colds and I don’t get side effects. I ordered from here because picture shows the old original version. In stores now I can only find the new version. I was hesitant to get a new type because I am prone to side effects. My order arrived and it was the new version — package says “severe cold” on the label. Luckily the new version of this flavor is the same ingredients as the old. But the new versions of different flavors have various new drugs in the ingredients so I would not want them. Read labels if you are picky about ingredients!

What a find ! I was at our cabin and felt a sore throat and cold starting. Too far to drive into town, I looked in the cupboard for anything to relieve it. Someone had used Alka Seltzer cold and flu and left 4 disc s of it. I figured it’d be better than nothing even though it was a year out of date. I took 2 discs at that time and 2 more the next afternoon. Unbelievably all the symptoms were gone that next night. I was amazed. I drank lots of water for a day or so but never got anymore medicine and the symptoms never returned. I went right to Amazon and ordered some for another cold night to come.

Love this stuff, it works very well. I like Theraflu, as well, but what I like about this is how much you get for the price and the inoffensive taste. I don’t have to ‘chase’ it with something to get the gross taste out. It’s the only thing like this that I can actually take with water and be fine. I hate tea, so the tea ones are just a chore to get down. Good for my symptoms and nice that I don’t dread when it’s time to take some more.
