I had a nerve tingling issue on my shoulder blade that made me want to itch it constantly. This really seemed to help it, but it is definitely a temporary solution. I knew when it wore off because the tingling sensation came back. Thank heaven I can get this applicator on Amazon because the stores near me only carry the applicator where you have to rub in it, and that is really problematic if you touch your face/mouth/eyes before removing it completely from your hands after application.

I love this gel to help with my itchy arm! Capsacin is so tough to use because of the heat, if it gets on your hands the potential to get it in your eyes, on someone else is high. This applicator makes it easy to put on an even layer and keep it where it belongs. The capsacin itself is helpful with arm itch, even if for a short time.

Gout runs in my family, and I had my first, and hopefully last, flareup just before Christmas. I didn’t get this until the gout had subsided, but I was still having pain in my foot, and this helped. I don’t think it would have done anything for the gout pain at its worst, but it is still an effective pain reliever for something less than an 8 on a pain scale of 10. I also have arthritis throughout my back and severe spinal stenosis in my lumbar spine, and this helps with some of that pain. It is also very effective for the arthritis pain in my hands, knees, and shoulders. It has a very strong medicine smell, and I can see how this would cause allergic reactions or nausea in some people. If you get it, try it on a small patch of skin first to see if you have a sensitivity to it. I recommend it, but with the reservations I mentioned.

This capsaicin gel works exactly as it should. Hotter than a pepper sprout!

I purchased this at the suggestion of my physician. I have very painful arthritis affecting the base of both thumbs at the wrist and I am told the arthritis will progress. Nothing has seemed to help. I started using this just yesterday and while I did not notice any initial relief nor did I experience the burning sensation some reviewers have reported, I did seem to feel less pain by this AM. There does seem to be some definite alleviation of the pain so far but as others have reported I did also experience the burning sensation in some situations. Burning feeling occurred only after I was outside and was sweating on my hands and also in reaction to the rubbing from a wrist support I have.
I am going to continue to use this but if the burning sensations become too prominent I am not sure that I can stay with it. I will try to post an update after i have had a chance to use this product for a longer period of time.
I suggest that new users purchase the 1.5 OZ size before buying the multi-packs so that you can determine first if you find it effects and/or you can tolerate any side effects.

At the end of February, I developed Shingles in my foot and it soon spread to my leg and hip, it was extremely painful. When the Shingles finally started to diminish in early April, I started to develop extreme sharp pain in my foot, and no amount of pain pains helped. On top of the situation I also suffer from Myasthenia Gravis. Anyway, after talking with my physician he indicated that the nerves in the foot were an after affect to the Shingles and he prescribed some medication along with suggesting some over the counter cream that had ingratiates to combat the pain. This product contained the suggested ingratiates and I ordered it…I used it for several days and NEVER got any relief from the extreme foot and ankle pain from the nerve inflammation. I then decided to try another product which was twice as expensive, and offering a much smaller amount of cream, and within a few hours of use the pain reduced. The pain has subsided so that I can at least rest and sleep at night. Please, if you have nerve issues and need a cream to help reduce the amount of pain, do not purchase this product for it does not work.

Smaller than I imagined however this does relieve my pain; however, I won’t use this product if I’m leaving the house as it has a strong smell. Additionally the little sponge ends that are to make it easy to apply ‘hands free’ came off immediately; apparently they’re just stuck on with a little glue which the product causes to lose their ability to adhere.

Very disappointed, did not receive any more pain relief than any other over the counter and it cost a lot more than many others I use that do help some. I don’t believe anyone makes something that will really help bad knee and neck pain, so use what seems to help some.
