Despite having pretty solid ingredients, the scent was hit or miss; my friend liked the smell but I didn’t. That said, nobody who tried the lotion enjoyed the feel. It’s sticky and doesn’t seem to absorb into the skin, nor did it moisturize well. Instead, it seemed to deposit on the surface of the skin. Maybe it’d be a decent lotion for body massages, but not worth it in my opinion.

I love this moisturizing lotion with sunscreen! It feels silky on my skin, like my favorite lotions, yet gives the sunscreen protection I need! I was actually surprised with the size of the bottle, pleasantly so! It’s a generous size and well worth the price! I’m picky about my lotions, and have spent $ on sunscreen in the past that was heavy or I just didn’t like. This feels moisturizing, and the sunscreen is very effective. I know this, as I missed a place on my back and I had a sunburn in that place only! I didn’t use this on my face, because I am super sensitive with combination skin, plus wanted a tinted for my face. But for my entire body, I highly recommend this lotion!

This stuff is amazing, extremely moisturising without being greasy. It makes your skin feel so smooth and nourished. Added bonus is that it has sunscreen it it. It also smells lovely and reminds me of summer. The best body lotion I have ever used and more noisturising than most body butters. I can’t recommend it highly enough, fantastic value for money.

Good lotion with spf 15, no scent, thick, non greasy and moisturizing. I like this better than lubriderm with spf and will definitely buy this again. Would like slightly more moisture and the pump didnt work.

I love how well this works and how good it smells! It’s definitely a thicker lotion, but it just melts into my skin and smells amazing! The scent doesn’t last that long, so it doesn’t clash with my perfume either. It smells so good though when I put it on and it instantly makes my dry, itchy skin feel better! It’s going to be my new go-to lotion for sure! I even use it on my face and it doesn’t make my face break out or burn! I wish I knew about this sooner! It’s so hard to find the perfect lotion. I’ve not seen this at the stores either, so hopefully it stays on Amazon! It was packaged extremely well too. I received it intact without any leakage. I really do buy a lot of different creams and lotions because I can never find one that meets all of my needs, but this one checks all the boxes for me and just feels nice to apply! I really cannot stress enough how clean and yummy it smells, either. Plus, it feels cooling upon application. I would love to find it in a little trial size bottle to keep in my purse! I will be repurchasing! It’s a huge bottle too for a very reasonable price

I usually don’t buy lotions (especially in a large size like this!) without first smelling them since I can be sensitive to smells, but I went ahead and bought this lotion sight unseen (scent unsmelled?!) based the reviews. I’ve used Alba Botanical products in the past and have always loved them, and this one is great, too!
The lotion is nice and thick, but it sinks right in, so that you don’t feel greasy and your skin doesn’t feel heavy at all after using it. Also, the scent is very, very light and subtle; it doesn’t compete with my perfume, and is definitely gender-neutral. In fact, the scent fades away after a few minutes of applying it.
Another big plus is that I can use this on my legs right after shaving, and it doesn’t burn, as I was afraid it would because of the alpha-hydroxy acids in it.
I’ve been looking for an SPF lotion that was lighter-feeling, and this one is definitely great. I’ve used Kiehl’s SPF body lotion in the past, but it’s the same price for a bottle that is half as big as this Alba one. I’ve also tried Lubriderm’s SPF lotion, but that one felt too thick for me. This is a nice compromise!
UPDATE 4/18/10: I’ve been using this a few weeks now, and just love it! It has made my skin so soft, even on those troublesome places like my elbows, which are usually really rough. I will definitely be buying this again once I run out.

the container pumps and works well. the lotion is perfect- thick but not greasy, light scent of beach sun time, stays on, really drenches skin with lasting moisture, one pump can do adult arms and legs both!

I have very finicky sensitive skin with psoriasis/ keratosis pilaris(which I use another cream on) and rosacea to name a few issues.. so to say I have to be careful with what I use is an understatement. this lotion has never irritated my skin even after shaving/waxing, &soothes it when my skin has been burnt or irritated. Only body lotion I use anymore
