I recently bought the unscented and first impressions.
1. It runs thin compared to Nivea body lotion but I live in FL so I don’t have to worry about harsh winters and my skin in general is not dry.
2. The unscented smells weird to me but trying to get used to it. Maybe it is the shea scent which I have never used or smelt before.
3. Once its moisturizes i’m happy with it becuase i like the ingredients except for the Phenoxythenol.
4. I might switch to the Lavender hoping the weird scent won’t be so noticeable.
Update
I switched to the lavdender. I have been using it for 5 days now and the scent is much better. Its on the strong side in my opinion but i dont mind. This lotion also moisturizes really well. Its not a thick lotion but when used on skin you really have to rub it in or maybe i use to much. 1 pump per leg and foot. Athough If you use to little bit there is like this water texture that makes it hard to rub in which nivea did the same.

Here are my thoughts on it.
Scent: you can smell vanilla but there are also some earthy notes in it. Kind of like tobacco leaves and vanilla. A 50/50 blend for me.
Texture: it leaves a waxy film on the top of your skin that makes it difficult to rub it in and penetrate the skin.
Quantity: if you love this lotion – good for you! This bottle comes with a ton. If you hate it and don’t like to waist – not so good! It takes forever to get through the bottle. I’ve been using it almost daily on my whole body for three months and I’m not even halfway through. 🙁
Results: I’m used to very thick lotions that seep in – kind of like my skin drinking it in. Unfortunately this doesn’t have that effect on my skin and in the dry winter months you can see every line and every wrinkle, on my hands specifically. My skin still feels dry and ashy as a result of the waxy film just sitting on my skin without being able to rub it in.
Closing thoughts: not buying it again. It does nothing for my skin and I desperately want to move on to something I know that works. I usually have better luck with Avalon Organics and Shea Moisture Hibiscus (I just hate the strong sweet smell of this particular product but I’m willing to put up with it now). As a result, I’ll probably avoid the lotion of this brand from now on.

Like many other reviews, I received a malfunctioning pump. Since I didn’t see a link to contact the seller through amazon, I went directly to Alaffia’s website to inquire. I heard back from them within a day or so and received a working pump a few days later.
This lotion is not as moisturizing as 100% shea butter, but I like that this it doesn’t leave a heavy, greasy residue. 100% shea is good for extra dry hands and feet under gloves and socks. But this lotion spreads and absorbs easily, therefor is good for the whole body everyday. The scent is natural like vanilla extract.

This lotion is amazing for dry skin. Especially in the winter, but even in the summer, dry skin can be a problem. The shea butter in this lotion soaks in fast and really heals. And no scent! It’s great–love it. Thank you.

I’ve used this brand of lotion off and on for several years. I have a coconut allergy (among many other ingredients), and this is one of the few lotions that doesn’t irritate my skin. That said, am I the only user of clean products that is just OVER lavender and vanilla scented everything? I mean I get it, they are natural and abundant and not harmful, etc. But this passion fruit scent, which I happened upon on Amazon by total accident, is really nice and anything but boring. My health food store carries this line but not the passion fruit scent. I am paying about double for it by ordering it here (compared to how the other scents are priced locally), but you get a huge container so to me it’s worth it.
This is not a heavy lotion, meaning it soaks in quickly and is not at all sticky. I live in Midwest winters which are super dry, and it’s sufficient for keeping my skin happy.

I have had it for three months. I did not give any review earlier was because the product presents differently than any other lotion that I used. I bought unscented one, and the product felt heavy and smelt a bit smoky. After using it for 3 months all over my body other than neck and face, I realized this is a very healthy product. It moisturizes really well and lasts for a long time, leaving skin protected, breathable ( no matter how much I accidentally applied on) & not oily. I also use a lot on my feet starting several days ago, and it made my feet’s skin soft moist and smooth the same day. I really really love it.

This is comfortable lotion that isn’t heavy or greasy and doesn’t stink like synthetic chemicals. It’s still cheap-thin and needs more shea butter in the mix.

I’ll start off by saying the passionfruit does not smell like passionfruit. It’s a very light scent, initially smells somewhat like banana, and ends up smelling like smarties candies. It’s a nice light lotion that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feel.
