Our dishwasher is about 13 years old, and has never had a “cleaner” run through it. I had to replace a part inside it, and noticed how much white crud had accumulated from the newer detergent pucks. For the first probably 5-6 years we ran the old fashioned Cascade detergent with phosphates in it, and we had zero issues. But that has been removed from the market, and these new detergents work but leave behind residue.
Enter the Affresh tablet. We tossed it in with the dishes and a normal finish brand tablet. After that load, about 85% of the white crud was gone. Repeated this a couple loads later. Now its sparkling clean everwhere. Two thumbs up for Affresh.
We also use the washing machine cleaner (on the “tub clean” cycle) once a month or so, and that does a wonderful job. Keeps things clean, sparkly, and smelling good. Also removed gunk from the drain tube.

We synchronize our use (once a month), and have a subscription so we don’t have to remember to reorder before we use the last of these tablets, with the flea treatment we give our cat.
