This product is amazing. I have always been a fan of acure lotions, and after years of sensitive, dry skin, eczema, and acne, I decided to give this probiotic-based one a try. And it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made for my skin. It cleared up my eczema spots almost completely within a few days. And it is sensitive enough to use on my face! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed.

Also, for anyone out there worried about the scent; it’s not that bad. Yes, it smells a little like fermented flowers, but what else can you expect from a product with probiotics? Totally worth it for the healing it does for your skin microbes. It’s not a very powerful scent, and you will adjust quickly.

I cannot say enough to good things about this product. The only down side is that it comes in such a small container that it’s hard to use regularly if you have skin troubles on more than just your face.

Really great and hydrating, it’s the only moisturizer I’ve found that keeps my skin moisturized hours after. The smell isn’t my favorite but once it’s rubbed in you don’t notice it.

My review is upon first impressions. I will update after extended usage.

I was looking for a heavier moisturizer than my Mad Hippie face cream. I love the Mad Hippie one but the air is getting drier. My dry skin needed a bit more on some days. I was looking a product that sinks into my skin. I disdain moisturizing products that claim to sink into the skin only to be sitting on my skin until I wash it off. I wasn’t looking for that slippery type of product. I have dry acne prone skin with some clogged pores and hyper pigmentation. I’m currently using a BHA and vitamin c serum that has been working great. While the Mad Hippie face cream is amazing as it doesn’t leave any type of residual, sinks in quickly, moisturizes well for spring and summer, and doesn’t have an off putting scent, I needed something more for fall and winter. I was initially worried about the Acure cream because of previous reviews saying that it has a very distinct scent. But I gave it a shot anyway.

The packaging is nice for the Acure cream. You will receive the updated color scheme packaging if you order directly from Amazon. When you first rip off the sticker for the cream, it does have that old apple cider vinegar smell. I’m assuming that it’s the probiotics. But after that initial burst of scent, it disappears. The cream smells like a mix between Aveeno unscented and Lubridern unscented lotions. It’s not even remotely offensive. It was just that first smell out of the tub that smells. Not sure why that is but I have it on my face and hands right now and I smell nothing.

The texture of the product itself is not very creamy. But it feels very moisturizing as you work it into your skin. It doesn’t spread like the Mad Hippie cream which isn’t a bad thing. My skin feels moisturized and it doesn’t feel like a layer on my skin. Hopefully, if you were to touch your face, it won’t feel like bare skin like the Mad Hippie cream. It will have some friction created from the Acure cream. But you don’t feel it unless you touch your face. This will be helpful when it gets brisk cold and windy here.

I had two layers on my fingers as I had first applied the cream to my hand and another time to my face. My fingers felt a bit tacky with two layers on. My hand and face doesn’t feel like anything except moisturized. However, I went to rinse my hands without soap to see if it would produce that lotion slippery feeling and I did get a little bit of that. But when I dry my hands, my hands did feel soft. I’m guessing that there’s only so much that can be absorbed by the skin. So whatever that was sitting on top of my skin was washed off.

I don’t know what the long term results are yet. I’m hoping that it’s along the same lines as my Mad Hippie cream. But overall, it feels nice. While I think it could be better, some of my conditions may not bother other people.

    Highly moisturizing, soothing.

I loved the original formula, it was my favorite cream that I used daily before applying makeup. This time when I received the order (took almost a month to deliver) I realized that the texture of the cream looks completely different – it was too heavy, sticky, and oily. But the worst part was the smell – it was really off-putting to the point that I had to wash my face off just not to smell it. The original “cloud” cream didn’t have any kind of smell, it was light and easy to absorb, I guess, it was due to hyaluronic acid which was replaced by sunflower oil instead (why?) which made the new formula too oily and smelly. Really disappointed, I’ll have to be on the lookout for the new day cream now

Finalement une crème qui hydrate ma peau sans me retrouver avec des plaques de sécheresse! Attention par contre, pour peaux très sèches et à utiliser en petite quantité….ce tube va durer longtemps.

Weak sauce. Don’t you hate it when brands mess with a good thing? I’ve used this cream for years because it was rich and creamy but not heavy, effective but gentle (I could feel it working on my skin, which would flush for a minute after application), with no artificial perfume but the subtle, lovely smell of the natural ingredients. It used to have a buttery hue. It used to feel like an expensive cream at an inexpensive price. Now it’s thin and colorless, smells like nothing, does nothing for my skin–could be any cheap unscented moisturizer at the drugstore.

First: I like the smell of this moisturizer. It has a nice herbal thing going for it. It might be a little strong for some, but I suspect that’s why they put “fragrance-free” and not “unscented” on the packaging. Important difference in phrasing there. I’ve noticed that the scent does linger for a while, so if herbal-type scents are a real dealbreaker for you, you might want to skip this.

I read about this product line in a book and discovered this cream was suitable for vegans, so I decided to give it a shot. I have combination skin, rosacea and am constantly fighting off pimples. While I have noticed a slight difference with the appearance of my rosacea since I started using this cream (about 2 weeks ago) it’s obviously not a cure–but it has cut down on the amount of make up I need to use to cover it. As for pimples, either I’ve gotten very lucky or this really is helping decrease my breakouts. (Full disclosure, I also picked up the Acure sensitive facial cleanser and have been using them in tandem. I suspect that is helping more than if I was just using the cream alone.) My skin feels moisturized after I put this cream on, and it has some real staying power unlike some other vegan creams I’ve tried.

The only thing that I’m not a huge fan of is the size. I suppose I should have realized 1.7 fl oz would be small but it didn’t hit me till I began using this both in the morning and at night. It feels like I’m going through it awfully fast, but since it’s been working out so well I don’t mind picking up more.

Good product but seem to be too greasy for my face, so I am using it as body or hand lotion.
