I love Acure’s products and I was really looking forward to using this moisturizer as I heard it’s great for oily skin. Unfortunately, this product was not what I was expecting. The cream itself feels a little heavy, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but the SMELL. The smell is awful. It reminds me of some type of rotten egg or something. I read other reviews saying the same and figured I’d take my chances, but sadly, I don’t think I can use this. I really wanted to love it, and I think I absolutely would if the smell wasn’t absolutely off-putting. PLEASE ACURE PLEASE change the formula to fix the scent!

I have not found nothing comparable to this product. My skin is moisturized and matte. No smell and the texture is smooth. I have to buy 2-3 at a time because it sells out and I’m afraid it will be discontinued. Please NEVER stop making this product. My makeup stills just fine and I apply sunscreen on top with no issues.

This is my favorite face moisturizer. I think the people saying it is too oily are just using WAY too much of it. I put one tiny dot on my finger and lightly touch my forehead, each cheek, and my chin with it. I can barely see the dots on my face. Then I rub it all over and it works amazing. My skin is soft, the very faint smell is lovely, and I don’t look oily all day. For reference, I have combo skin. It is either oily and shiny or peeling. This has literally been the only moisturizer I have stuck with for more than 3 months. I think I’m on my 6th month now with no end in sight. I love it. Just really, really–DONT USE TOO MUCH. You really do not need to! PS–this sized bottle lasted me through those first 6 months and I only just now ordered my second bottle because I am getting close to the end. I use it every day once in the morning.

I’m finally the age where my skin is considered “mature” but so many products for the 40-50+ crowd are moisturizing aka make t zone too oily.
I initially got this for my teen daughter but she didn’t like the smell which, granted, is somewhat earthy, unlike the typical fragrances in commercially popular beauty products. I find those scents pleasant but often too strong.
However this scent is light and dissipates very quickly, so it doesn’t bother me at all. The texture is thin but neither watery not oily and absorbs/dries fairly quickly after applying.
I find it moisturizing enough for my cheeks which are a little more dry and it doesn’t add oily feeling to my skin during the day. I use a the Acute skin scrub about half time and a gentle cleanser, followed by this product and CC cream after. I avoid powers even though most people say to use it to control shine, because I haven’t find a combination yet that doesn’t settle into my fine creases around the eyes. I still have to use blotting sheets halfway through my work day on my t-zone but I don’t know if any product would stop that completely. It’s better than the Honest brand stuff which I love initially but it breaks the CC cream up as the day goes on. Too many oils i think.
I feel like I’m still searching and trying to get a better set of products that will work together but it’s hard if you don’t want to spend sixty bucks for an ounce, and maybe even then it’s not as good as they say.

I have sensitive skin and have used plain water most of my life to wash my face. After watching youtube, I discovered this from a video done by Chic Natural I was sold. Labeled as vegan. I use this after apply the charcoal wash. I usually do this in the morning and it leaves your face looking cool and refreshed. No oily skin. The combo works really well. It has an ok scent. It’s one of those hard to describe scents but it dissappears after a few mins.

Update: I’ve used this product for many years. My most recent order from VDCUSA has exp date 6/1/25, but all three tubes are rancid and unusable. They weren’t expired, but they smelled like it – really bad, like rancid oil. ID#X003UD0M5D These were similar to the product I’m used to, but packaging is slightly different and the lotion isn’t weightless – feels like body lotion. And the smell is clearly different. Total waste of money.

This product can’t be returned even if there’s a problem with it upon arrival. Most recent order had no safety seal and a crushed product box.
This product should have a very light lemony rose (?) scent. I like the fact that it moisturizes, but doesn’t feel or look greasy – it has a natural skin or satin finish. Their eye cream is great as well.
I have bought this product from the same seller multiple times. One time the seller sent the wrong Acure product. They sent Acure Sensitive Facial Cream for dry skin instead of Acure Oil Control Facial Moisturizer for oily/acne prone skin. The packaging is very similar – easy mistake. Make sure you’ve received the right product for your skin.
