I’ve read good things about taking Pterostilbene, but I cannot get past how horrible this tastes. It’s easy to take if you can get over the flavor – which reminds me of a meaty like flavor, something I would give to my dog maybe. I just can’t do it.

I found this supplement very easy to take. I diluted one daily dose into a cup with a small sip of water and took it that way. With this method it is flavorless. I feel a good energy level throughout the day and the amount of supplement in the bottle will last me a very long time. A reusable grocery bag with the Absonutrix logo came with it.

This blend by Absonutrix is definitely an interesting product. It is in liquid form, which should increase the ingredients’ bioavailabilty, as these types of ingredients are notorious for being poorly absorbed when orally consumed in the non extracted form and powdered in capsules.
Absonutrix leads with Pterostilbene with Hesperidin in their product’s Amazon listing, but they never let you know how many milligrams of each the product provides per serving. Instead, each Pterostilbene and Hesperidin are listed last in their respective ingredient subgroups: Pterostilbene is the last ingredient of the Double Energy Booster blend, and Hesperidin appears as the last ingredient in the Immunity Support Concentration. The mg values of each subgroup that are printed on the label are the collective number of added up mgs of all the ingredients in that subgroup. And since each Pterostilbene and Hesperidin are listed last in their subgroup, that indicates that their mgs are the lowest when compared to the other ingredients in the group. The fact that we have no indication of how many mg are we getting each of Pterostilbene and Hesperidin is a sticking point for me as I need to know exactly what mg I am getting of a specific supplement ingredient, particularly when that ingredient serves as the product’s unique selling point. If the product label and description leads with being a Pterostilbene with Hesperidin supplement, I need to know their mg per dose so that I am informed.
That aside, Absonutrix conceived a great blend to provide to people who wish to support their health and wellness. I will keep taking it and hope for the very best and to yield very positive results from the great ingredients of Pterostilbene and Hesperidin.

So what are the two key ingredients in this supplement —Pterostilbene and Hesperidin? Pterostilbene is a stilbene molecule, similar to resveratrol, found in plants like blueberries. Research suggests it may have antioxidant and cell-protective properties. Hesperidin is a flavonoid compound found in citrus fruits. Research suggests it might offer benefits like improved blood circulation and anti-inflammatory effects.
Obviously, I ordered this supplement because I believe Pterostilbene and Hesperidin (and mushrooms) are beneficial to our health. So far, I’ve only had a couple of doses of this supplement because, frankly, it doesn’t taste great. It certainly didn’t taste much like peppermint oil, which the company says is in its formulation for the purposes of flavor. Also, after only using this supplement once, it would be impossible for me to say whether it’s affected my health beneficially or not. The only thing I can review is what I know, or have learned, about the product.
Regarding the previous review about “ethanol” being one of the inactive ingredients in this formulation, I do know the following (because there are chemists in the family): some ingredients in supplements might be difficult to dissolve in water. Ethanol can act as a solvent to help disperse these ingredients throughout the liquid, ensuring you get a consistent dose with each serving. Also, ethanol can act as a preservative to prevent bacterial or fungal growth in a supplement. This helps maintain the product’s quality and shelf life. And finally, Pterostilbene might be extracted from its source plant material using ethanol. Traces of ethanol could remain in the final product even after processing.
And those are my two cents regarding ethanol being listed under “other ingredients” on the label. But there’s no excuse for Absonutrix not getting back to the previous reviewer regarding his ethanol question.

I am interested in taking this Pterostilbene+Hesperidin supplement for a number of reasons.
Both are reported to be helpful for airway inflammation and I am hoping this might be helpful for asthma. Pterostilbene is supposed to be considerably more bio-available than resveratol and supposedly it shows similar biological activities.
I have used several Absonutrix products now and I have been happy with the quality of their products. That said, I agree somewhat with the other reviewer who wonders how much Pterostilbene and Hesperidin are in this product ?The label isn’t clear on that. It is also true that
taking this extract normally gives me a little lift in energy and clarity, both of which I can always use.
