Just commenced the supplement and too early to opine on effects. The dropper could use a mark for the recommended dose of 0.6 ml than counting 20 drops. Will update in 2-3 weeks on actual effects.

This just wasn’t for me between the taste and not knowing the company. I typically buy organic, herbal tinctures from long-standing companies with established reputations. I will admit I judged this book by its cover once it arrived, so packaging does play a factor for me. Something about calling it “ethanol” instead of “grain alcohol” also turned me off. These details add up. Taste was not great, but the taste is never great on these things. Still after first try I didn’t want to keep taking it, despite wanting it for its benefits. It may be suitable for you, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

So this item is not returnable and advertised falsely. The weight of 12 drops (serving size) of water = 590mg and thus there cannot be 590mg of L-Ergothioneine in this supplement. I called and emailed the company to give them a chance for explanation and they never returned my call. They are working under a webs of fake company names… total nonsense and they are selling this exact product under other company names too… buyer beware!!

I use several products by this manufacturer. I like them all. This has a pleasant taste and smell. So far so good.
Ergothioneine is an amino acid that is found mainly in mushrooms, as well as red and black beans. It is also found in animals that have eaten grasses containing ergothioneine. Ergothioneine is sometimes used as medicine.
People use ergothioneine for joint pain, liver damage, cataracts, Alzheimer disease, diabetes, heart disease, wrinkles, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
How does it work ?
Researchers are investigating ergothioneine to determine if it can reduce swelling (inflammation) in the lungs and damage in the liver, kidneys, and brain.

I have been taking this L-Ergothioneine supplement for only a short time. The taste is not remarkable to me in any way.
Since hearing about and reading about L-Ergothioneine I have been pretty intrigued by this amino acid which humans can only derive from their diet. It is present in mushrooms, black beans, red meat and oats. Apparently we need it, we have a gene that acts as a transporter for L-Ergothioneine. Mutations in that gene seem to be responsible for some auto-immune disorders. There is strong evidence for L-Ergothioneine as a physiological anti-oxidant that is highly protective of the mitochondria .
I have an auto-immune disorder , as so many people do . These disorders often seem mysterious and intractable . For me this L-Ergothioneine supplement is definitely worth a try. There are 200 servings in this bottle-almost seven months of daily doses-and that seems like plenty of time in which to see if there is some improvement for me from taking this.

I recently started taking the Absonutrix L-Ergothioneine Liquid Supplement and I am pleased with my experience so far. The supplement comes in a small glass bottle with a dropper, which makes it easy to add to my daily routine. I usually take 12 drops at a time, which is the recommended dosage. I have also added it to my usual beverage without any issues.
The supplement has a slightly sweet taste and almost no strange smell, which makes it easy to take. However, I did accidentally end up with an extra drop once while counting, but it was not a big deal. I am hopeful that this supplement will help improve the aging of my eyes, but since I just started taking it, I cannot comment on its effects yet.

Under other ingredients it says “Ethanol”. Ethanol is drinking alcohol. This isn’t old school cough syrup, this is suppose to improve your health. The last thing that should be in here is Ethanol (drinking alcohol). I should have taken a closer look at the label. Still, what were they thinking? In case anyone is wondering is also used to cut gasoline specially in corn country.

L-ergothioneine is an anti-aging supplement derived from mushrooms. It possibly has quite a few benefits and research is suggesting it may help mitochondrial health. There is some speculation that it may even be essential to the human body. It also may support telomere length in human cells, which is an indicator of anti-aging effects.
This formula contains 590 mg of l-ergothioneine suspended in oyster mushroom extract in 12 drops of liquid. There are 200 servings. The labeling is confusing in my opinion. You are not getting 590 mg of ergothioneine per serving, but rather 590 mg of everything.
It is hard to tell how much actual ergothioneine you are getting. I am guessing there is ~5 mg of ergothioneine per serving based on other formulas out there, but it is hard to tell.
The formula also contains some ethanol, which is a fancy name for edible alcohol (beer, vodka, etc all contain ethanol). A lot of herbal extracts contain a little alcohol. Ethanol is perfectly safe in amounts like this. I can’t taste any alcohol, so I am guessing there is probably less alcohol in this entire thing than there is in a beer.
It tastes slightly mushroom-like. It isn’t bad by any means.
The bottle is glass and bigger than I expected. It comes with a dropper included. The screw-on lid to mine arrived slightly cracked. A little duct tape is holding it together.
The company claims to manufacture in a GMP certified facility which is a sign of quality.
