There is a reason Abreva has the brand recognition it does. This product is high quality and does exactly what it is advertised to. I feel like it gets to work immediately!

This is a well known brand for cold sore treatments and I like to have one on hand during flu season. I like the improved pump design over the squeeze tube. The pump is better to keep any bacteria on your hands away from the tube opening.

I’m not going to speak on the effectiveness of the medication itself. Assuming your doctor has recommended docosanol (e.g., Abreva) and it works for you, these 2-gram tubes are a terrific innovation!
I received my order in December 2024, and is has a generous time before its expiration date of June 2026, which is great for me because I so rarely need this (but when I do, I need it ASAP!).
Loving the fact that these are three individually wrapped tubes (see my photos for a glimpse into – pun intended – the clever presentation design), each with its own cap. (One star off – really would be only half a star, if that were possible – for the fact that the caps don’t really “snap down” and give you a positive assurance they’ll stay on in your purse/toiletry bag/etc. Ideally, they’d either snap down, or maybe have just a couple threads to screw them on so that the pump doesn’t accidentally get pressed when the cap invariably comes off. They’re snug, but not a sure thing.)
Finally, the amount that a single pump dispenses feels just right for what I would need. I love that, because often the big tubes can be wasteful (especially if you’ve been traveling on a plane – gotta love that pressure change!). These also feel much more sanitary.

This is a good product. It’s Abreva. It works. The pump dispenser puts out to much product at once, in my opinion. About half would be good. It’s very difficult to do a partial push to get less product. Other than that it’s great. 4 stars.

I don’t get cold sores often, but when I do, I learned long ago, apply Abreva at the first sign. The little Abreva tubes were ok, but a bit messy and a bit too easy to squeeze out to much. The newer pump is much better – able to better control how much of the cream I am getting.
I also like the 3 pack. The key is to start using Abreva the minute you notice a cold sore coming on. So I can keep one in the upstairs bathroom, one in the downstairs bathroom and one in my desk at work. This way I am always ready.
Abreva has always been my go to for cold sore relief, the new pump makes it easier to work with and the three pack ensures that I always have it handy.

Ordering this as a precaution, I have not had a cold sore since receiving it. But I anticipate that these little bottles will come in handy, and that this method of delivery will be at least as effective as Abreva in the tube. Some years ago, I received a prescription from my doctor for an anti-cold sore medication but when I took it to the pharmacy realized that it was prohibitively expensive. The pharmacist took pity on me and led me to the Abreva display, telling me that the much less expensive Abreva would work as well. I have been an Abreva fan ever since.
