This is literally the only thing that works for cold sores! I used to have luck with lysine, but I think my body became immune to it and it stopped having any effect. Last time I ordered this product, I decided to try the pump dispenser and I found that to be a HUGE waste of money. When I ordered that particular item, I was already 2-3 days into my cold sore and it barely lasted for the duration of that ONE cold sore. I made sure to order this kind (the tube) to have an extra one on hand. Well, right after my first one healed, I immediately got a second one (dealing with a compromised immune system, having a terrible cold and being hit with numerous snow storms and freezing temperatures is a recipe for disaster). I’m SO happy I had this on hand! I haven’t even used 10% of this tube and my cold sore is almost healed. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t control the amount of product that came out with the pump dispenser and ended up wasting most of it. With this kind (the tube), I can easily use it for 3-5 cold sores, depending on the severity of them, and I barely got one use out of the pump dispenser. This product is expensive, but it’s the only one that’s FDA-Approved for cold sores and the only one that actually works (for me and I’ve tried EVERYTHING – even prescriptions from my doctor).

Ordered a small tube, as I always use. This arrived in a weird pump device which will undoubtedly leave wasted product that can’t be reached. Foolishly complicated. Why break what’s been working for years???
