I have a condition which requires me to supplement potassium, and to avoid sodium. I got this to use in my low sodium baking but haven’t done any baking yet. I use it to help replace some of the salt in flavoring foods. I also put in a beverage to up my potassium levels. As I was preparing to order more of my high potassium, low sodium electrolyte mix I figured out that I can make an equivalent one myself much cheaper using this as the potassium source. With unflavored SLO-Mag powder and this I can make an equivalent or better electrolyte powder for a little less than 1/2 the cost of the one I’ve been using. (I like to use my own flavorings as I don’t want sugar or stevia).

I found some electrolyte recipes and some called for sodium Bicarbonate, others said not to use it. Sodium tends to raise my blood pressure quite a bit so I decided to use this. I used electrolyte pills because of cramping but I think the sodium was, a bit high for me. Making my own powder using this as one of the ingredients I’ve done well. Little plastic scoop inside is handy. Happy with this product.

It seems like powdery mildew runs rampant where I live. The creeping charlie and others will get it. I dissolve 1 tbsp per gallon of water and spray it on the affected leaves and it seems to help.

This powder is MADE IN CHINA. I cannot use it for the food products, there’s no guarantee of origin or quality. It’s bad I did not know this before purchase, the product says no return accepted, so my money is wasted.
Be careful when purchasing such food-related products.

I brush my teeth with it. Make “soda” bread with it. Not the same flavor as bicarbonate soda. But I’m used to it.

I purchased sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate and citric acid to replicate a known brand of antacid tablets that you plop in water. That would be the ‘Gold’ version of their tablets (containing no aspirin) which they no longer sell. I really liked how those tablets worked to ease my upset stomach. My concoction of these three ingredients work just as well.
