I’m going to tell you that I am a HUGH skeptic when it come to things like this. However, this worked for me in 24hours. Yes 24hrs, I notice the difference. My mood was totally up all day, all evening and was able to sleep all night. WOW. I’m ordering another bottle for my daughter, she’s been in pain, since she hurt herself on her job and the pain brings on a bit of depression. I’m also in lots of pain from a herniated disc. So this, of course does not take the pain away, however, it helps your mood, it gives you a better out look when you are suffering and sometimes your focus is not on the pain because you feel so good. I have not had any ups and downs since I’ve been taking this natural 5-HTP.
I would like to tell you that, after taking it for 7 days, I now take it every other day. there is no need for me to take it everyday anymore because it actually works and keeps your mood mellow for 48hrs. You are still able to sleep well when taking it every other day.
After a while, I will stretch it out to every 3rd day and see how it works for me. I will come back and update my review.
This actually works just like an antidepressant, so as a Nurse, I know that its important to take it less, than to take it more, because I’m afraid that if taken everyday for a long length of time there may be side effects if it is stopped and not weened off. Because it works well for me when I’m in great pain and it mellows my mood in spite of, I will continue to take it, as less as possible. Antidepressants does not work in 24hours, sometimes it takes up to 3 weeks for it to work.
It not only helped with my mood and my pain tolerance but also it helped my tremendous amount of job stress. The best thing about this is that it is natural.
Update. May 13, 2013-
I’m ordering more because I have sent a bottle of the 5-HTP to my Military son who has PTSD from being in Iraq- he is so much better- he’s rested and is more positive, feeling better mentally- not complaining, not feeling as stressed as much as he use to. I hear a totally different son with a great change in his affect. I’m ordering a bottle now for another family will report back. I prefer this natural supplement as oppose to pharmaceutical drugs for my family. It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
