you need a lot of hair to cover the tape. The tape is fairly strong and will hold skin okay. The n=bands that you bury under your hair are thick, like a ponytail holder. It takes some practice and cleaver styling to cover up the strings and buttons but if you can manage that, its worth it for an occasion.

The item was described as mount finish, and they are shiny, you don’t want to wear face tapes if they’re going to be visible to others, plus these ones don’t stick well at all. Don’t waste your money, Walmart sells some that are matte finish and they stick well and they don’t cause any skin irritation.

I wanted to try this Tape and elastic “Facelift” system after reading mention of it in an aging starlet’s memoir. I think this system was “Classic Hollywood” for looking younger without getting a facelift. However, on trying it, here in my early years of “midlife” I don’t think this will do much for me. The tape that you attach to your temples, well that just sort of pulls your eyes more slanted to the side, it doesn’t seem to make wrinkles disappear, also it is very hard to hide the tapes because it needs to go on your skin, not in your hair- well, even if your hair is down, you will still see these tapes on your temples. I think that the reason it worked out for aging starlets to use these is because they often wore wigs. I can see this possibly working if you had a wig with longer hair that fell over your temples. The more interesting part of this set to me is the shorter white cord, designed to help smooth out the neck area. I was reading a Nora Ephron book recently about how “necks are the first to go on a woman, starting at the age of 43” and she is entirely right about that!! They get crepey. In this set, the black cords attach together and are meant for the temples area. The white shorter cord- that is for the neck. You can attach it on either side with the cord running around the back of your neck. It pulls that crepey spot right below the “Adam’s apple” tauter. NOW THIS seems like it has potential! It would be easier to hide too, if your hair was down. But heaven help you if the wind blows your hair or you forget and move your hair back! I was thinking if a higher collar might work too, and I suppose it is possible. It seems like this is more practical for say, looking nicer in a portrait, than it is practical for wearing around in everyday life. Also, the suggestion you can improve your jawline with this, I don’t see that as a possibility at all. So, I would not get this with the idea it will provide a facelift effect really at all, won’t do a thing either for a double chin. But the neck portion of this, it has potential, I think.
