New review: I found it extremely important to update my review to a 5 star and explain why. I have recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease (gluten-wheat- intolerance.) It’s now apparent my problems with dairy were due to this. Since adoption of a gluten free diet my extreme sensitivity to milk, when using this product, is greatly improved. If this product worked for you in the past, as it did for me for years, please consider that you need to explore a gluten free diet and see your doctor for tests that can identify Celiac disease.
*️⃣Original One Star Review: I have used this brand for years but in the last 8 months I became ill and finally narrowed it down to this product. It simply does not work and in my case made things worse. It’s not cost effective if it doesn’t work. After buying the official Lactaid milk my symptoms disappeared. I want to make it clear it’s not the seller. This is a product issue. I could be upset by the money I’ve spent purchasing this item, not to mention the physician bills, but I am just glad to find out what the problem was so I can correct it.

I’ve used this for years. I don’t care for non dairy creamer, many of which are way too sweet. This allows me to use real cream in coffee, home made ice cream, lemon icebox pie, and gravy that the whole family can eat without reaching for lactase pills.

This is an economical way to keep the intolerance away. Let’s face it, life is tough and we don’t need to add to it with stomach misery. These drops are great. I use 22 drops per gallon of milk. 20 is enough but I’m a bit obsessive, which may account for my intolerant stomach. But, that aside, this stuff is powerful and works as advertised. It also has a side benefit. It extends the milks durable life by 4-5 days. It is also far less costly than purchasing Lactaid milk or the pills that you can pop before you drink untreated milk. Now, I’ve no idea whether it works on ice cream but I hear it does. I have noticed that lactase ice cream is available from some companies for the same price as regular ice cream so maybe it doesn’t matter. But remember, even with the Lacteze drops, you are still going to die. Seems unfair, if you ask me. You go to all this trouble, and you still don’t make it out alive. What a scam.

These drops have really helped our family’s tummies. They are so easy to add to a gallon of milk, let sit 24 hours, and voila — no need to take lactase pills with every latte or bowl of cereal! We started out with 20 drops per gallon & worked our way down to about 14 per gallon. That seems to be the sweet spot for us. The milk doesn’t become overly sweet & our stomachs are still happy. Using 14 drops, one tiny bottle lasts about 17 or 18 gallons. So much easier & cheaper than buying lactose-free milk!

My husband uses this in his milk, and it works wonderfully. He is very sensitive to lactose, but he’s never had a problem with Lacteeze, so long as the drops are put in at least 24 hours in advance. We use quart-size glass milk bottles for his treated milk, so that it doesn’t get confused with the untreated milk. We put 5 drops per bottle, with excellent results. It also keeps the kids from drinking all of his milk.
Using this product is much more cost-effective, and my husband finds the taste much more to his liking. He complained about the taste of the pre-treated milk that we were able to purchase locally. These drops are the perfect solution, as the regular milk has a much better flavor. We’ve been buying these for over a year, and find that they last a couple of months per bottle. I’ve also used these drops in cream cheese. I just whip the cheese until it’s light and fluffy, then add these in, and whip it some more to make sure the drops are incorporated. My husband loves being able to have lactose-free cream cheese.

I doubled the does in a half gallon of milk, but I still got sick. But it did work with margarine.

This product is NOT chocolate and doesn’t even come in chocolate so the description is just plain wrong. However, it is a great enzyme product. It is a better value for the money than the Seeking Health brand which requires far more drops per liter than this Lacteeze.

Cost a bit more than smaller versions but the total amount is a better price per dose.
