Overall I really like this protein powder. It is a little expensive, but I believe its worth it for what you get.
The dark chocolate flavor of this protein powder is rich and indulgent, but not too bitter like some dark chocolate products can be. Unlike some protein powders that have a chalky or artificial taste, this one has a smooth and authentic dark chocolate flavor. The sweetness is just right and not overpowering. Whether you blend it into a smoothie or simply shake it up with water, the flavor remains consistent and enjoyable.
This protein powder is fortified with creatine, which is a significant plus for those looking to enhance their workout performance. With regular use, I have noticed improved endurance during high-intensity workouts and quicker recovery times between sessions.

This Optimum Nutrition Platinum Rebuild Protein Powder tastes good and doesn’t have a bad aftertaste like other brands. The Dark Chocolate flavor is decent, the texture and consistency is really good just like most ON products. Definitely has a good balance of protein and creatine that doesn’t cause bloating when consumed. It is pricier than other brands but this is a premium supplement powder.

Protein is, of course, a basic constituent and building block our bodies need for repair, growth and general health. Estimates vary, but many authorities claim that Americans get more than enough protein in their diets. Need varies, but many agree you need about one third to one half gram of protein per pound of body weight, thus a 150 pound person might need 50 to 75 grams a day. There are subsets of people who vary widely in their need and intake, however. Someone building muscle using resistance training might require more. As a senior citizen who admittedly does not get enough physical exercise, I eat a very healthy diet, but find my appetite has greatly decreased, so I consume much less than in the past. Caloric restriction has an upside discovered decades ago in actually increasing life span and slowing aging, but in that situation, I believe I am getting much less protein than I might need daily. Turning to powders is not the maximal solution, but is a good and easy option. Everyone’s body is different, of course, so experimenting might tell you if your preferred source of protein should be plant based powder or, say, milk based. Neither may be superior, since the expression, strong as an ox, should have as a subtext the reality that an ox gets all its protein needs from plant matter. One important factor in making a purchase decision is, of course, the quality and reputation of the manufacturer as well as the relative value your budget will allow. At around $2 per serving, this seems a reasonable price. A whole food like a 12 oz can of tuna might arguably be a superior source of protein and can be purchased in bulk at about $1.60 per can on Amazon and offers around 50 grams of protein. One chicken breast contains roughly 43 grams of protein and while prices vary, might cost $3 at the market. So value wise, this powder is similar to many whole food sources, but you only need to mix it and drink it with no cooking or prep involved, especially if you make some type of smoothie daily as many do. This product has the added benefit of Creatine at 3 grams per serving which would be an additional cost if purchased separately. All factors considered, recommended.

This is an improvement over some protein powders I’ve had in the past. Pros are- good tasting, mixes well/ fine powder. I mixed it with milk- the whey flavor still comes through but not as bad as others I’ve had. The chocolate has a creamy taste- I was surprised at detecting the salt in it.. you may want to compare labels to other brands to make sure it fits your needs.
The cons- slight chalky texture, only 20 servings in a container. Although there was a plastic coating over the twist-off lid, it was not heat sealed when opened up- so I cannot tell if the product might have tasted different if it was sealed better.

This powder is a blend of micellar casein (from milk), whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. Whey absorbs into the body more quickly, while casein is digested slowly.
This powder also contains 3g of creatine monohydrate, a dietary supplement that increases muscle performance in short-duration, high-intensity resistance exercises, such as weightlifting, sprinting and bicycling.
To me, the dark chocolate flavor possesses the qualities of a milk chocolate. It does not have the intensity of the darker chocolate flavor i was expecting. Mixed easily with water, its natural and artificial flavors give it a flavor somewhat like it was mixed with an almond milk rather than just water.
