I got this for 2 teens that work out in sports daily. It has a nice chocolate flavor and mixes well in the kitchen blender. I can’t tell if it is working as far as protein being added because they are eating and growing as well. Will probably repurchase when it runs out.

it is a high quality whey protein isolate, cross-flowed and micro-filtered… some of the best whey protein you can consume…
it mixes very easily and homogeneously, as well as it tastes terrific with coconut water… it also mixes completely and tastes great with straight h2o, as well… it has very little sugar and has a high PER, protein efficiency ratio (effectively, it is a highly bioavailable protein)… the Chocolate, though it has 9g sugar per serving from beets, is also terrific and a nice change from the natural vanilla; Solgar Whey To Go Protein Powder, Natural Chocolate Flavor, 41 Ounce . sometimes we mix the two together to minimize the sugar in half and reduce the chocolate flavor, still at half is plenty of chocolate and tasty flavor.

I noticed right away the powder itself was very fine, breaks down into milk perfectly, assuming with just as much ease in water perhaps a bit less. It has a light chocolate taste, not too sweet, delicious stuff! I drink two a day and replaced my Muscle Milk protein powder after reading about its heavy metal content. Yes I am aware heavy metals are in a LOT of foods, but cutting it out where I can only makes sense, does it not? Great stuff, i’m recommending it to friends already! Note: if your concerned about heavy metals. Blue green algae or seaweed is a great natural detoxifier and leeched heavy metals from your body!

This is a solid bet for a protein powder. I’ve been using this for well over ten plus years and it’s a quality product and very palatable–not chalky or clumpy or any of the negative things that protein powders can be. It’s a little on the pricey side in terms of cost but you’ll use it and I think it’s well worth the money. I’ve used both the chocolate and the vanilla and I always have them on the shelf.

Natural Vanilla flavor tastes aweful! I have used many whey powders and decided to try this one based on the consumer reports favorable test results for heavy metals. I tried one glass with water and one with milk but had to hold my nose to get both down. Vanilla is usually my favorite flavor but it has a very strong almost chemical taste, with a bitter lingering after taste. I ended up throwing it away after just 2 servings. The other flavors from Solgar might be ok, but I hated to take the gamble after this experience.

The Whey To Go Protein Powder Natural Chocolate is not the Cocoa Bean flavor but is instead the Chocolate Naturally Flavored. It appears that Solgar is not producing the Whey To Go Protein Powder Cocoa Bean flavor any more. The Chocolate Naturally Flavored dissolves completely and therefore does not have a powdery consistency. Depending on how you prepare your Whey To Go Protein Powder shake, it can have an odd flavor but if you mix it with Pero Instant Natural Beverage Mix Extra Dark Roast, which is a coffee substitute and caffeine free, it enhances the chocolate flavor without having the taste of coffee and giving the Chocolate Flavor a richer quality taste. Since I’ve not tried mixing The Whey To Go Protein Powder with anything other than the Pero, I am not able to comment on how other preparations might taste.
